Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Rescue Squad Mater – The Nearly Complete Visual Roll Call

More photos rolling in of Mater Tall Tales – Rescue Squad Mater diecasts so it’s time to assemble it all together …

SINGLES:

Screen shots will be replace as actual diecast photos arrive …

burnt-lm-wm

kori-turbowitz-web(Kori from WM8) From the quick screen time, it does not look like she is wearing a mask or nurses cap but does have white tires so my guess is it will be Kori, no press pass and white tires ….

axel-accelerator-web

And the Rescue Squad Trooper looks exactly like Axel – and it looks like Rescue Squad Trooper also reads “Highway Patrol”  – so it seems safe to bet it’s just Axel with a new nameplate …

MEGASIZE

(this is the “normal” version … well, when your standards are as high as in this line (aka: the greatest diecast line ever), this passes for ‘average/common’) 🙂

4-PACK BOX SETS

4-packs-rescue-squad

doc-mater-wmAgain, just another run-of-the-mill “common” release in this line. Nothing special – just common 🙂

mia-wmUm, I forget, what’s greatness times infinity?

4-pack

Do they even need to say COLLECT THEM ALL? How about just a paper sack where someone writes in crayon, CARS.

Plus if you happen to be in SD during July 22-26, you might consider adding this box set to your MTT collection. The spiffed up Double Ransburg Rescue Squad Mater … $30.

More photos of the SDCC Rescue Squad Mater or VIDEO HERE of it in action.

No – not sure when they will arrive on the stores shelves but Fall, 2009?

And I can definitely tell you Europe will be getting these … Canada? Australia? Don’t know. Sorry.

    MackDad,

If I can get an ear to ear grin when you look at our product that’s enough for me 🙂

Yeah, I wish I would have kept all those HeMan sku’s I Designed /Developed back in the day. Hindsight huh?

I am starting to keep all my Cars stuff. May pay for my kids college books one day………….:)

    Chuki & Mack Dad,

It is comments like this that makes this job worth having.

This IP is so awesome that I sometimes feel guilty because I feel all we do is duplicate………….but we don’t. We keep it real and up to the standards you all expect.

When I worked on the Original Masters of the Universe line back in the early ’80s it felt the same way. There was a connection that we made with people that exists to this day.

Do it right, and it will pay off. I just hope my Design Team and I can keep doing it right.

    Go Mattel/Disney/Pixar/ Cars.

Everybody have a great Hoilday weekend, I don’t have to work 🙂 Sweet.

Looking back, I remember my mother-in-law collecting almost every piece of the MOTU collection for my wifes younger brother. They put shelfs up high along the walls of his bedroom and placed all of the characters and accessories around the room. He still has them today and they’re probably worth a small fortune. Her mother has since passed but maybe she too had a respect for the quality of those little works of art. My wife was the first to start our collection of CARS. I’m sure a greater percentage of all CARS collectors are female. But once the line took off I could’nt get enough! All I can say is that everytime I look at our collection, for which I have built a custom display, it brings out that child like ear to ear grin. Thanks and keep’em coming!

  • MackDaddy says:

What does this line of diecast CARS have over me? I am 45, excited and gitty over these things! I can’t control my yearning for these things. I find myself searching everywhere and anywhere I am for CARS! I absolutely LOVE these little guys. I guess it’s a sickness I will have to live with. Can’t wait to find these new ones!!

    Ladies & Gentlecars,

These Character sculpts/castings are off Mater’s tow hook.

When JL first verbally described these shorts in a meeting @ DCP about a year ago I had no idea how big these would become…………….you put together Pixar hyper realism and humor and you have a Home Run.

My Design Group and I are just trying to get these new sculpts up to par even if some of you Collectors do not consider these cannon.

What’s cannon, f you don’t shoot for the moon?

Just this scrub Designers opinion, what do I know? 🙂

    • chuki_mama says:

      Martin,

We are very excited to get these new castings as well….Especially because there are more girls…. 😀 They are CANON to us… Just want to let you know that you do have fans…

We know and understand that you do not control manufacturing or distribution, BUT if it ever makes it to this neck of the woods…We WILL buy!!!!! 8)

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!!!!

    GO GO!! NURSE GTO!!!

    mmmmm…..

  • Jeaks says:

Given we never saw the Story Tellers (& we did get the book in our stores) I reckon there is more chance of Britney Spears being named mother of the year.

Still there is two hopes they might wing there way here – Bob Hope and No Hope.

Sigh – they all look so wonderful too.

  • ChrisIA says:

Grooved rubber on the twins; sessy!

  • LiamsMom says:

I love Dr. Mater and the ambulance, but everything looks great so far. Does anyone know about when these should start showing up in stores? Mater’s Tall Tales will be in all stores, right?

(MET: Yep, available to everyone … rumor is Fall 2009 so far, that looks like it might be case but I know everyone will be super mad if they show up earlier 🙂 ).

  • 5oclockshadow says:

You know, I never noticed Mia and Tia’s hats said Groupie on them before. I also don’t remember Doc Mater having a white tongue in the cartoon.

  • DaddyO says:

Paging Dr. Mater, paging Dr. Mater…please report to the ER stat!

  • racerguy says:

Man, just when you think you just found the greatest car (Todd, Frank, etc.), you see pictures like these. Wow. I’ll be at the CC; I don’t think I can wait more than two months to see the cars in person, but I’ll have to. Considering everything this line has been through, to still be running so strong and still being so well-designed is amazing.

  • Rick says:

Can McQueen go into the back of the Ambulance like in the scene?
Now that would be cool and not hard for matel to do.

  • Albert Hinkey says:

OK I’m still scratching my head on this one….

WHERE ARE KORI’S SIDE MIRRORS? Did she loose them in a horrible accident. Is she the one getting operated on? That would make sense!

(MET: Just to note – that is a placeholder pic of Kori as a WM8 CAR – but other than white wheels, I’m presuming it’ll look the same (also erase press pass)).

  • GreG says:

Awesome Great Now it’s sure I will buy it 😀

  • John in Missouri says:

Ya’ better keep the Nurses and Mater in their packages because those white tires are going to get scuffed!

  • iamspeed says:

We could almost make Dr. Mater a Dermatologist as well:

    Drmaterologist !

As Larry the Cable Guy would say………”I don’t care who ya are, that’s funny!”

  • iamspeed says:

If only Dr. Mater were automated, so he could swing his hook over and pull up his mask!

  • PirateDad says:

    HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA Canon THAT!!!!!

  • CaptainChunk says:

There are not words to describe just how well done these all are. Cannot wait to get a few of each. The wife is a nurse, so Nurse Mia & Tia will be the most popular of the bunch.

  • John in Missouri says:

    SWEET, for sure!!

  • 5oclockshadow says:

    Sweet!

Can’t wait for Doc Mater & Nurse GTO =)

  • jestrjef says:

Ok, so why are Mia and Tia a different color than DR. Mater???

    Otherwise, flippin’ SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!
