Disney Pixar CARS: More Tomy CARS – Eggxactly

There are an nearly never ending supply of capsule CARS except in the US. We got the TOMY set early in 2006 …

About $1 to vend from the machines … while overseas in Asia and in Europe, they have gotten the other releases …

02mack-cars1

While not technically from a vending machine – they were available at the same stores from Yujin. INFO and POST HERE.

Or the Bandai Gashapon Capsule CARS.

capsule
“Gashapon” is the overall Japanese word to describe these ‘capsules.’ I think it’s a direct translation of the sound the capsules make as they rotate out of the machine and plop down … at least that’s what I’ve been told 😉

INFO & POST HERE.

The latest addition are two capsule series from Tomy.

Egg
The ones in the blue capsules are called “Buildable Figures,” and the other series, “Cars in Tins.”

Sally
Not a lot of skill required – usually 2-3 pieces to snap together 🙂 … the stickers are a little more work. They are around 1:64 scale though it’s not exactly perfect from CAR to CAR 🙂 As you can see, there 6 choices …

Complete
Each sold separately but shown here together.

No, the wheels don’t roll.

The other capsule line from TOMY is appropriately called CARS IN TINS because you get, yes, a TINY BOX with a CAR (on a keychain).

King Tin

These are much smaller – about 1:87 scale – again, not exactly 100% to scale from CAR to CAR …

King Tin

Of course, no, the wheels don’t roll – either for your keychain or cell phone.

Thanks, “Altan” for the CARS we don’t get in the US though they should be available on eBay.

There is A lot to talk about here!Starting with the Tomy line:The small metal boxes 5 exist!mobile phone danglers 8 :Guido,McQueen,Flo,Ramone Purple,Chick,Tractor, luigi and McQueen parkingbooth!Small stickers box 5 different containing 30 mini stickers each! But the diorama serie is special also 8 different:Tractor,Flo,McQueen,Guido,Chick,Luigi,Ramone Purple and McQueen parkingbooth! But variations are found,I found A guido with A set off 5 tires 4 stacked and one standing next to the 4 very small like Luigi size tires and one with only 2 sparetires on the diorama bigger looking like Sarge tires!collect em all!The Kindersurprise line(chocolate eggs with car inside) is exactly like the one from Tomy to put together! There are 7 different cars (this company has A very good reputation for delivering highly detailed stuff)in this size the most beautifull line to collect! We have Luigi,Doc Hudson,The King,Sally,Chick,Mater and McQueen !In the eggs there were also 5 cars related toys 2 plastic keyhangers with small picture inside from McQueen or Sally 2 small diorama’s with McQueen or Guido and A small magnetic game to move McQueen around A track in A very small box!And to confuse the kids even more their is yet another brand that make chocolate eggs with Cars inside This is an Italian company based in Modena(where they make Ferrari)called ZAINI .The chocolate egg is complete brown(Kinder is brown outside but white on the inside off the egg) and really noy that good! The quality from the cars is even worse but like the Kindersurprise Cars all off these do ride! They have A line of 10 Cars:Luigi,Guido(who is bigger then Guido in this line???)The King,McQueen,Ramone Purple,Sally,Mater,Doc Hudson,Sheriff and Fillmore! All these were available from 2006 to 2007 and I ate A lot off chocolate!Cars:Confusing??No!!Keep hunting and collect it all!!!

Saw the phonestraps for the first time about 2 years ago cost 2 euro a piece!bought A faw and eversince I have A McQueen Lightning with the boothstrap hanging on my mobile!Very small about 2 centimeter but still yhe very first version of an impound McQueen I ever saw!Not much paint or stickers left by now but so cute! The cases were also available as were the eggs these are about the same as the little put em together cars that in Europe were found in the Kindersurprise eggs(childrens surprise)Chocolate and milk egg with A plastic capsule inside containing 1 car.The things found in these eggs are highly collectable in Europe due to A lot off variations!Collecters sometimes pay up to 3000 euro for A plastic figure 3 centimeters high! There are people who check up to 500 eggs by shaken them near their ears or put A magnete against it as if they could determine what was inside by doing this ???It is wrapped in foil then chocolate and A plastic capsule!!!Collectors are indeed A rare bread!LOL

  • hostile takeover banker says:

there are stacks of these around here, including both types. My problem is they cost about half of a diecast car, and for that price you are not assured of exactly which car you are getting, which makes it hard to try complete a set. That and the cars are plastic and tiny so they get damaged way too easily.

That said, I have collected in the past and am still collecting various other toys that come in these silly eggs for my son!

as well as having a cars collection i am an avid gashapon collector. i absolutely adore them. they are nearly impossible to find in the us i usually use ebay or other online retailers. and i know of a few ebay sellers with really fair prices and excellent customer service and shipping time if anyone wants them.

  • Aaron & Jeanne Scriven says:

these are cute lol idk where you even see these machines lol.

  • was this the same way the mini trophies came Met? I remember a different looking Piston Cup though.

(MET: You get one with mini capsule CAR – I think there was another cell phone hanging series one?)

    • Edge says:

Yes Met, there was/is a “cell phone hanging series”; they have them here in Canada. I have a “Sally” cell bling available, if anyone is interested. Could get more too, just not sure which ones. It’s a crap shoot! 🙂
