Any one see Johnny or Jamie in Texas… the San Antonio area? Never found Nick or Donna, so my fingers are crossed!
Did find a Chase “stickerless” Van…
Found them in Houston on Thursday. 4 each except for Johnny. 3 of him.
So far none found in San Antonio to my knowledge.
Found “cone” Lightning and Jamie at a Target in Naperville, IL yesterday. Also found Yokuza there as well which is the first of the Tokyo Mater cars I have found that wasn’t in a box set.
Also found Van yesterday at a Target in Joliet, IL and ready for this..

NO STICKERS! Go figure. LOL. My son won’t care though since he’ll just ask me if I found Mini too. LOL.
Also saw Mario Andretti and Chuki at the Joliet Target. Both were lenticular. Chuki is too small to be lenticular, looked like she had 3 eyes at times.
Darn I knew I should have gone to the one in Joliet instead of Shorewood, don’t have a Chuki yet. Oh well, I’m sure we’ll find it my little guy got some new ones anyway.
They had like 3 or 4 of them along with 2 or 3 Mario’s as well.
The target I went to had a lot of chuki’s. Had I known I would’ve gotten you one.
Maybe we’ll make our way up that way this weekend, need to go to TRU anyway because my daughter got a coupon for her birthday so we’ll need to let her get something with it (not that she really knows, she is turning 2 lol).

found Dragon LM with Oil Stains at TRU in Aurora, IL. They had a few of them. Also had like 4 or 5 Yokuza. Its by Fox Valley Mall for all the locals.

As quick as I was to say how hard case E was to find, I find Case F today and multiples of each and a clutch aid launcher and chase van to boot!

I wonder how that Ebay seller( in Europe I believe) already had this in the package. I don’t think it’s actually been released somewhere has it?

If you haven’t found any final lap cars in several Targets in over 6 months I think it’s safe to say that you have been beaten to them. I strongly suspect others are buying them all at your stores before you get there.
Thanks Rob for sending me a set. I can’t wait until John gets Johnny. I didn’t tell him they are coming yet. He’s going to be so excited when he sees his name on Johnny. Of Course Jenna will be jealous. I am going to buy her more silly bandz now.
Mike – FL F’s have been found in Glenview, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Streamwood, and Rockford.
Thanks for the list of locations! As of a few days ago, the Targets in or closer to the city of Chicago either had lots of D, empty pegs pre and post D, or scalped E (scan indicated no stock in stockroom); hopefully we didn’t miss our chance at wrecked Mood Springs and his pals around here.
I keep waiting for people to steal the pegs while they’re at it!

I live kind of south west of Chicago and the Target in Shorewood where I usually go to had these, several actually. I had found the last case there but not the one before.

I’m currently only looking for Damaged Mood Springs of Case E, but no luck thus far. I found all three of these in Omaha today, Target at Dodge and 72nd, They had multiples of each.
I found part of Case F today, but it was only Mcqueen with cone. I have heard that there are 4 each of the new ones, and there were 4 Mcqueens on the pegs, but none of the other 2. Seems odd they would only put those 4 out and not the rest of the case, but since the pegs were otherwise full of older final laps, that seems to be what was done.
Did you ask anyone to check back room stock, or scan a UPC to see if it showed “yes” to back room availability? If they had stock on the pegs, they probably filled out the pegs, then the rest went to the back room.
No, I was so surprised to see the mcqueen (since I never really saw case E) that I didn’t think about checking the back room for availability via the scanner. Maybe I’ll try tomorrow.
Hopefully they won’t give you a hard time since the pegs are full. Be sure to point out that those cars that you’re looking for would have been in the case that was just opened, so they should be willing to bring them out if you’re specific about what they should bring out. Good luck.
Not Proud of it, but it was successful… I have gotten a few sets of Case E from stores where the pegs were fullish and the store has proven in the past to not bring out anything if there are some items on the shelf already…
I moved the Final Laps to the adjacent pegs (usually the color changers) and put a few color changers as the last item on the peg… pretty much hiding the final laps…
Once I got my booty… I moved them back and overstuffed the pegs with the warmers…
Haven’t had to do it that often, but there is one target near me that is quite difficult when it comes to bringing more items out of the back…
Nice! Don’t feel too badly about it, they force you with their lame policies! Plus, you are doing it so that you can give them more $$. They should thank you really.
If case E was in “normal” quantities, I wouldn’t like to see “short” quantities!
Why can’t they repeat some of the “news” from the first five Final Lap cases? Could it be that they will only be seen as Lenticulars after the first Final Lap release with no Final Lap repeats ???

i last did that october, since then its been nothing but mcqueens and stupid-eyed cars! plus they skipped from really old cases to the latest case, so i missed out getting loads of characters i want, like Mini, Todd, some other racers ect…

I have extras of both Mini and Todd if you’re interested. Todd was available at most Big Lots stores during the latter part of 2009. All I can do is offer.

I thought that we’ve only had, depending on the store, either empty pegs, lots and lots of D, or in the case of 2 stores (Highland Park and Niles) a shipment of E that were both almost completely scalped. I would so love to see Race Damaged Mood Springs on the peg…

Found 2 “new” launchers on TRU website: Octane Gain and Dinoco McQ. Anything else in that case or are these 2 it?
I actually saw those in a TRU store this past weekend. No other launchers on the shelf, ironically.
I still haven’t seen Final Lap E case in western Ohio or in Indiana – I’m not sure any of my Indiana friends have seen Final Lap E case Cars in Indiana either… Plenty of D case… and I noticed yesterday that I have 20 extra of the 3 Case D Final Lap Cars… Is it asking too much that all Target stores get the full and sufficient distribution of each Final Lap Case, the team crew sets, the team sets, the Speedway 4 packs, and haulers?
Its Mattel! Since the very beginning of the Cars line in 2006, its never been even for all areas of the country, Some areas get nothing, others get in abundance. I drove hundreds of miles to buy my first Cars in 2006.
I found all three of them in southwestern Indiana today along with Chase Van (not a sticker in sight) and a couple of surprises, the lenticular versions of Chuki and Mario Andretti.

So I’m assuming that if I see Lent. Darrell and Chuki, that I should find a Chase Van. 😉 unless someone got to them first… What other new lent. are in that case? or is it just Darrell, Chuki, and Van?

yeah I found 2 chase van’s yesterday. and chuki was there along with Mario andretti. so yeah, if you see those and nou van, then there “van”ished. Ok bad joke
I am not sure if they are part of the same case, but this same store had lenticular versions of Snot Rod and Charlie Checker on the pegs for a couple of days before Chuki and Mario made their appearance.

Well that’s a case I don’t feel the need to find anytime soon. The last two cases were in great abundance in my area, I’m sure these will hang around for a while.

I found these cases in Detroit on Friday. They contain 4 each of Jamie, johnny, cone McQueen and then 1 sheriff, 1 Fillmore, 1 mcqueen and 1 ramone I believe

It appears Final Laps are finally settling into the ‘collector’ line. Case E has yet to appear in the Tacoma area with the exception of one Target. Case D has acquired the status of peg warmer around here, resulting in Case E not making it to the stores. In fact, Case D continues to be shipped. As to the store receiving Case E, Vern and Wet McQ have become peg warmers. Maybe, it’s because Jay is a possible crossover collectible that he and Mood Springs disappear quickly. I really do not see the little kid seeking out Vern, Jamie, Johnny over the main characters. And, there are plenty of Verns and Jays lenticulars hanging around at less cost.
Funny, case D and E are pretty much the opposite in Texas. D is nowhere to be found, with E all over the place in this area.
Same in mid-Missouri! We’ve never even seen remnants of Case D here.
I found case F yesterday. The crazy part is that I never saw case E.
These should be pretty easy for collectors to find because I doubt Moms and Dads will spring $4.99 for some very unexciting toys for their kids.

Has anyone noticed / pointed out the difference on the cardbacks of Jay Limo and Race Damaged Mood Springs and the other Final Laps? On those two, Race Damaged Mood Springs is listed last; on the others Jay Limo is.
Yes noticed that a month ago. The person who found these say the cardback is the same as the last case e cards. No change.

I’d say Final Lap E was in abnormal quantities around here…abnormally high! So I hope they ship in the same quantities as E around here. 🙂

I live in chicago, but I haven’t seen them. I’ll call all my target stores I have stored on my cell just incase though.
I called 5 target stores by my house but only one of them had them, so I bought 2 sets of each. I’m going to try today, because I know most of them get their truck in Wednesday and have it on shelf Thursday.
