Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Radiator Springs Classic – What’s Next?

TRU seems to have gotten a new case of Radiator Springs Classic but sales seems to have slowed down quite a bit.

RS

Was this a one-shot deal to see how sales might go? Will there be more next year? The 3-pack box sets seem to have sold okay but not not very rapidly. The 10-pack is now drawing very little interest. It does give TRU an exclusive and CARS diecasts to sell without really having to worry about price matching – will they keep the series going by just re-releasing the ones they already have released this year?

Here’s the checklist.

The other cases early in the year were selling great..Like Brian said the FHH case with N2O and gang was an awesome case! Like others mentioned mine keeps loading up with the Nick Stickers case and its really hurting the section! With so many choices Im not sure why they would not be able to come up with better case assortments??

There are so many classic cars that could use a rerelease. I’m not at all surprised they don’t use them.

My TRU keeps putting out the same case of these with nick stickers and ramone over and over again, they are starting to clog the pegs. They used to get the 13 cars but I guess because the radiator spring classics keep clogging the pegs they arent ordering anymore. The could have at least put out the case of classics with doc the hudson hornet, I would have snatched those up every time I saw them, I only have 6 of him. I also love the card backs on the classics.

I went into a TRU on Thursday and must have seen 13 or 14 Nick Stickers. I had only seen him once as a Final Lap Car.

I really hope they keep this line going with more new rereleases. I’m hoping they put out Lizzie in this format. Not too mention more Piston Cup racers and others too. How sweet would some plastic tire Tachomints be? It be nice to race that one on the Piston Cup 500 track.
