Well we finally went ahead and saw this movie. Brave seems to rate just under Tangled. It was entertaining; but not a whole lot of character or story development. As a Disney princess movie it is good; but it does not live up to the Pixar standard. The bear scenes had my 4-year-old scared. Would not recommend for the young kids. My 8-year-old and wife were teary-eyed at the end. All in all, I would give it a B-.

Hmmm, so sad to hear such rough reviews of a Pixar movie. My kids seemed interested when they saw the commercials but they wanted to see Madgascar 3 on Father’s Day and have said they cannot wait for Ice Age! Guess this might be our first Pixar Pass, sniffle, sniffle

The movie was OK, not great like Toy Story, but it was not as bad as what critics thought of Cars 2. I was surprised how they decided to have a lot more adult humor in this movie than in others. If you haven’t seen it yet, wait until it comes to DVD and Blu-Ray.

Saw Brave on the weekend and was incredibly disappointed with it! Thought the movie was way too scary, too much supernatural and just a rehash of the I dont want to marry him plotline. As a film from any other company I wood have thought it was okay, mediocre maybe, but from the geniuses at Pixar, this is a Fail!
Sure the animation was beautiful and her hair was worth the price of admission but that cannot make up for a bad movie. Worst Pixar Movie Ever!
Those of you who thought that Cars2 was too violent or rough for your kids will hate this one!

Thanks for the review. The critics slammed it as well, at least slammed it as much as they are allowed to say somewhat negative things about a Disney movie anyway.
Guess I won’t be taking the kids to this one. My son has been asking to go see Madagascar 3 anyway so that’s what we will see as our first Summer break movie.

My wife has taken the kids to both; she hated Madagascar 2 and thought Brave was just OK. All three of them are looking firward to Ice Age 4 on July 13. As for me, I just want Cars 3 to come out, this time with a decent storyline!
