seems like $60 would be the normal price to begin with.
John, I’ve seen that happen. I clicked on an item, then went back to it and it came up discounted. I didn’t buy it, but tried to make it happen again so I could buy it, but could never get it to work.
There’s also been some talk, urban myth?, that Amazon charges different prices to different customers for the same items. (based on previous purchases, browsing history, etc.)
(Met: At one point, Amazon freely admitted that they offered different prices to different people as a test which in theory is what b&m stores do also both in one store and in different stores to gauge many things but online, it can feel more precisely targeted at you since they can measure so many more variables in one swoop – the store equivalent of looking you over and electronically changing the price tags as you reach an aisle … Amazon says they no longer do specific personal price testing but being online, they can change more prices quickly depending on supply and demand as we’ve all witnessed with the CARS 2 clearance – the biggest difference was the Carrera set dropping from $59.99 to $39.99 as the week went on or the 3-packs going from $7.49 to $9.99 within hours).
