Anybody seen the LEGO shorts on the TRU version? If they’re the same as the ones on YouTube, I’ll pass and get the 5-pack. If there’s something new, then I’ve got some pondering to do.

Got the 2 pack WM version with Ransburg Finn and watched it last night! Forgot about coupons. Counted at least 16 different versions of a possible diecast Mater!!

Be sure to add code – M1D17MAIGNEH to your DisneyRewards account BEFORE you add your Cars 2 code. It will give you a bonus 50 points.

I used my amazon points to the the overpriced one. So, I guess that means I have to get a blu ray player now….darn.
I havent got it yet, hopefully tomorrow. I was getting tired of trying to figure out all the russian words.

(MET: You can pretty much buy a Blu Ray player for $50-$120 but your easiest and best choice is really the Sony PlayStation3. While it costs you more upfront, (about $299), it’s already upgradeable to 3D so if you decide to get a 3D TV, no need to buy another 3D Blu Ray player down the line, it’s also the easiest to upgrade (via WiFi, click YES) – because they keep tweaking the copy protection, Blu Ray players need to be upgraded – more costly BR players with WiFi built in can cost up to $200 but cheaper ones might require you to hook it up to your PC to keep compatible in the future (discs that come out in June 2012 might require you to upgrade your BR player to play new discs) … plus of course, you get a game console + if you have Netflix streaming, it’s built in – no extra charge … also, don’t spend more than $15 on the HDMI cable).

I needed the toiletries, so I opted for the Target deal with the $5 Target gift card with $25 Kimberly-Clark purchase, plus $5 Disney coupon, plus the $10 rebate, plus 5% Target credit card discount, plus the light-up globe case which is actually quite nice.

Total price = $37.33, and 6 months worth of Kleenex and bath tissue!

    Streamed online for free version.

When the Cashier handed me the 7 total feet of cash register receipts after the most recent Kmart Collector Event, I noticed that there was a $5 off the Blu-Ray combo pack, so I headed there tonight to see how little I could spend with the addition of my built-up Kmart Rewards points. But of course there were no Cars 2 DVD’s put out yet. I guess I will try Wal-Mart in the morning on the way into work, gotta love the D23 “exclusive” Finn!!

I picked up the 5 disc set at Best Buy. The had it for $24.99 and I used the Disney Movie Rewards coupon to knock it down to $19.99 … then I used a $5 coupon I cut off the back of a Frosted Flakes box …. grand total was $14.99 plus tax out the door. Now,the question is, can I sit on it until Christmas or will it find its way to the TV sooner! LOL

  • Micky says:

Picked up my 5-pack DVD Combo from the Disney Store this morning. Watched the BluRay when I got home. Also watched the 2 shorts. Haven’t gotten into the bonus disc yet. I am happy to say I liked the movie much more now. Maybe it’s because I somewhat knew the plot, although I had forgotten most of it LOL. Now that we have many diecast of the main characters, it helped to be familiar with them. We had waited so long for Cars 2 to come out that when it finally did, it was almost a let down. But I think now as I become more familiar with the characters, plot & scenes, I will like it more & more. Don’t get me wrong, it’s no Cars (1) but it’s also much better than I had been thinking it was.

It was a tough decision, but settled on the Amazon set with the John Lassetire vehicle – just couldn’t pass it up.

  • InsanePirateDragon says:

Well, luckily I managed a peek at the packs since I work at Walmart so I knew what he looked like. And I already have the ransburg from D23 so I wnt for the 5 pack with the lithos from the disney store.

  • DDD says:

Just got the Walmart two pack when I learned it was the Rainsburg Finn! Funny how the promos made it look like the regular one. Bluray for my nephew, DVD and Finn for me. Can’t wait to watch after work tonight! Looking forward to commentary and opportunity for great screen shots!!

  • BMW says:

I bought the 5 disk set at Walmart, for 18.99 (the manager gave a extra dollar off to beat Best Buy) with the 5.00 off coupon from Disney Rewards.

The D23 Rans Finn is the one in the Walmart set for 29.96. There were 5 of these this morning at 9:00 am. So it seems the black “Top Secret” envelope was the “exclusive” at D23, not the car.

  • toddnnc says:

The disney store dvd sets came with free kids game as well as posters

  • Mike Manifold says:

DisneyStore.com has a free shipping offer today on Cars purchases. Enter code: PITSTOP
    Good luck, all!

(MET: Offer ONLY GOOD TODAY – so don’t dally!)

  • sodabear says:

Walmart 2-pack with the Ransburg Finn. An extra one of those beauties never hurts.

  • BlakefromMN says:

got the best buy 5 pack for 19.99 and the exclusive car for 9.99

  • cac1959 says:

Before work, I bought the Walmart Combo Gift Pack… the Car appears to be the D23 Ransburg Finn McMissile.

I also bought the 5 disc Combo Pack at Best Buy at lunch… It was $24.99… I had the $5 off Disney Rewards Coupon… Added the Best Buy Exclusive RC Blue McQueen for $16.99 and saved $7 more off the combo pack… total for both was $32.43… this will be the one that I open in order to watch the movie.

I saw the Collector’s Edition for $79.99 at Best Buy (and $79.96 at Walmart) but decided not to buy it at this time… it’s the same Car as the Kmart John Lassetire as far as the paint is concerned… the eyes are in a different position… I’ll put that on my birthday list and maybe I’ll get it.

No new Cars today at the local Walmart or Kohl’s or Family Dollar.

  • NascarFan says:

several Amazon 6 pack with the truck for an overseas members ( I will wait to see them before I buy one for myself)

Several Walmart sets with Finn, I did get one for myself of this

    (MET: Is it regular Finn?)

  • 5oclockshadow says:

So is the $5 coupon Target is advertising, just the $5 Disney Rewards coupon? I have tried to go to the Target .com/DisneyCoupon page, but it just gives me an error, or directs me to the DVD page.

Also, the Director’s cut is $69.99 at Target. I would have Amazon price match that if they haven’t already.

(MET: THere is a direct link in yesterday’s post).

  • Left it to the last minute but we (I) decided on the deluxe pack from Amazon…

Could not resist the idea of a limited edition John Lassetire!!! Hope it is gold plated!!!

Now to get a Blu-ray 3D machine for the super duper version of Cars 2!!!

PS – Also picked up a Ramone DVD player at Marshall’s!!! Sweet!!!

  • Bumper Save says:

None yet, but I plan on buying the 2pack with the Finn. The Finn is the Purple Ransburg D23 Finn – or Maroon if you’re Met. 🙂
