Besides buying the checklist catalogs. Is there anywhere did get a complete list of all Cars produced? From Lents to Toons to Rubber Tires to Chase. Even Color Changers…. which I dont do but if I want the others I would assume they would be included.

    Thanks!

    Steve

    (MET: We’re working on one 🙂 ).

I’m I going blind or is Dexter Hoover with Green flag missing off here?

  • LUCA says:

Sure that FERRARI F430 has not been released in single card format??
    mmmhhh..

  • Wraukn says:

There’s nothing like the excited feeling of finding a chase car and then the bummed out feeling looking at it’s lenticular eyes.

    • DDD says:

Just picked up Mater with Hood. It’s a cute, cute car, despite being lenticular. At eye-level (my eye-level) both its eyes and Ghostlight Mater’s eyes stay pretty still, and don’t show as much of the second set of eyes as some of the others. I was also glad to see he stays jacked-up in the front, and it’s amazing how much heavier that hood makes him feel than Ghostlight Mater. (Wished a little that the hood came off.)

  • Dunroamin says:

How come Dash Boardman is blank in all cases…wasn’t he released in the box set and kmart 5 as a lenty

(MET: I listed Dash in the bottom for alt packaging but oops, missed the LEN release).

  • Lee says:

Thanks very much for the list – but do you know what I miss? When you mention the case letters of new releases. When I see the cases stacked up on top of the TRU shelves I used to know which one to climb up for by the letter on the box! 😉

(MET: The problem is since they pretty sold exclusively to the three main retailers in the past 5 months, it’s hard to keep track of what’s what).

  • jmularczyk says:

thanks for the list Met – It’s been hard to tell if I’m up to date on the final lap or not.

  • slicepie says:

Me: “Tyler, I have a surprise for you.”

Tyler: “Oh wow, what is it?”

Me: “Here you go, it’s old rusty Mater after he found his hood.”

Tyler: Oh, I don’t like this Mater with the blue hood! His eyes are moving.” 🙁

Hey Mattel, are you listening? That’s the verdict from my 4-year old, you know, a child right smack in the middle of the age demographic these toys are supposed to to be designed for!

    • slicepie says:

Oh, and it took me two days to get him to actually open it. And when he finally did he walked over and put it in his display case and closed it back up. He won’t even play with it because of those stupid eyeballs.

      (MET: Funny).

        BUMMER

      • Jeaks says:

Not meaning to be disrespectful here Jake so please understand that.

On the flip side my 5 and 7 year olds ask for the moving eyes. They even when told they could select only one car from a number of doubles (that I have in my cupboard) each chose a lenticular LMQ. The fact they had a fixed eyes LMQ did not stop them selecting the Lenticular version.

In factv my 7 year old loves using the word “lenticular” to describe the moving eyes to his mates when they come over.

(MET: I see we need to convene an esteemed panel of 4-8 year olds. And the best part, we can pay them in cupcakes, right? 🙂 ).

        • slicepie says:

No disrespect at all. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. However, if Mattel wants to put out two completely different designs for one collection then they should be available in both formats. Making chases lenticular only is a huge discouragement. Put them in the Final Laps and don’t make them a chase and we won’t care, we just want the cars that don’t look like 4-eyed aliens.

          • PVHauler_16 says:

I haven’t been posting lately, but, I agree. Everyone has their own opinions. I hate them, and so do my kids. One of them calls them “wierd eyed aliens from outer space”. I think they ruin the chase cars, and I don’t like them. But, print happy eyes, and there you go. That’s what I do when I gety a lenny, but I only buy the chases, since I don’t want to support these too much. I can’t wait to get these, and hopefully they’ll be under the new Christmas tree I ordered that’s in transit.

        • Monica says:

My two 7 years olds are not fans of the “crazy eyes”. Clearly the 4-8 year old demo is not homogenous 😉

    • flophunter says:

at first i thought the lent’s would never take off. but they did and now they are taking over it seems. i still don’t buy them. it is wrong that the chase went lent style tho. they look dumb. i want a paint mask mcqueen with real eyes. lents suck waste of space to me.
      -flop

    • flophunter says:

u know what the bad part is if chases would have not gone to lents i’d still be buying two of each. but no not since the switch only one for the chase collection.

  • DDD says:

This seems like as good a thread as any to ask something that I’ve been wondering for a while…why are there always a million Nurse GTOs and other vehicles from the Mater Rescue and Stunt toons, as well as tons of the carded hauler cabs on the pegs? Everywhere. And it seems half the stock of vehicles is always full pegs of color changers…especially Target and Walmart. Does anyone buy these?

    • jestrjef says:

If it is anything like my area, they all bouoght WAAAAAAAY toooooooo many of the first couple cases of the Toons. That led to a HUGE back log of them.

The Mega Cab’s are the same way. They kinda KILLED the mega line in some of my stores. They haven’t got anything in for AGES because of it!

Some one from Mattel needs to come in and clean all of those peg warmers out and ship them away!! 🙂

    • John in Missouri says:

I think Met once said that Case A was only shipped to the U.S., but later cases went worldwide. So say the U.S. got 20,000 cases of Case A, but just 5,000 cases of the rest, and you’ll see why all you see is Nurse GTO, Nurse Kori, etc.

  • BMW says:

Met, there are quite a few older cars on your list labeled as Final Lap that haven’t been released yet on that card. Like Lizzie, Van, Doc, Kathy, dinoco chick, cartrip, bob cutlass and others. upcoming still?

(MET: Yea, they’re on the FL official list – yes, it doesn’t look it means anything but it’s on the list so we shall see).

  • I-am-speed says:

Here’s Swift Alternator already on his Final Lap card back! Auction 270675650410

Credit to jestrjef for inspiring me to look more closely at the China connection’s latest offerings.

  • L8rM8r says:

One minor detail. The lenticular Ferrari and Antonio are avail in both the 3 pack and a single, so not sure if the symbol should be different. I guess it is just how you handle ones that have been released in both formats. I know, I know who cares right?

(MET: Single releases take precedent over other releases – if only available in another format, they are listed that way).

  • jestrjef says:

AWESOME LIST!! If you dig around on ebay there are a few back door hints as to what is coming next … Hooman, Dobbs, Swift Alternator, Coriander Widetrack … very very cool cars 😀

  • slicepie says:

For those in need, I have updated the Cars Numbered Checklist to include newest releases plus added a new page with all Kmart Day Releases.

  • L8rM8r says:

Yeah this is great as I might have caved in and started a small collection of lenticular cars 🙂

  • Kevin says:

They can’t release chase cars with those lenticular eyes and not re-release them with fixed eyes that’s REALLY unfair. 🙁

  • Kim DeCosta says:

thanks Met! you are the best!

  • cac1959 says:

    Great list, Met. Thank you.

  • I-am-speed says:

Met, you da “list” man! 😉
