Celebrate Earth Day Tomorrow – Free Coffee & Food Made From Earth’s Molecules!

Happy Earth Day to my favorite planet!

(And there’s not even a close second)

To celebrate, Starbucks will buy you a free cup of coffee (aka: give you some coffee) on April 15th.

It’s only fitting as there’s almost as moss as there are Starbucks on Planet Earth, they will buy you a free cup of coffee if you bring in a resuseable travel mug …

Enjoy – though don’t get too jittery as you race from Starbucks to Starbucks to guzzle free coffee. MODERATION. Don’t forget to mail in your taxes or your extension.

Lunch? Of course, we”ll ‘buy’ you lunch. Do you live near a Taco Del Mar? Click to here, and get a coupon for a FREE TACO!

May not be the best dinner choice of all time but if you’re an adult, spoil your appetite! Cinnabon will buy two free cupcakes. Well, mini cupcake bites … but hey, they’re free.

Not free but pretty good dinner deal at McCormick & Schmick’s – $10.40 – get it on tax day?

Or 15% off at PF Chang’s … now, I’ve done it, now I’m hungry …

And if you survive until Friday – FREE FRIES on Friday the 16th from Jack in the Box!

And starting on the 17th through the 25th of April – Free entrance to U.S. National Parks – a savings of up to $25 bucks – you just get to come in the park for free, other fees apply and no, apparently you still cannot carry home a sequoia or cute animal – hey, my taxes paid for that bear! Crazy rangers with their rules and guns … just kidding!

(though some lodgings on national park properties are offering Stay One Night, Get One Free … not counting carried-off’s by Saquatch).

And if you buy three Hanes shirts, they will give you an Earth Day one free plus plant a tree – Nice!

Happy eating and drinking on Earth Day!

* Unlike the other offers, the Starbucks one seems to be global but double check and please do not clunk the barista on the head with your travel mug if they do not offer you a free cup of coffee. But otherwise, please visit the US tomorrow and free food for everyone standing in America! CARS extra – $4.99 to $8.99 and all the free walrus-choking plastic bags with each purchase … sorry, Earth Day humor. Humm, walrus. Sorry Mother Earth – many of your animals are very delicious! And thanks for the coffee bean and potato for fries!

And here’s one to lighten your evening. During Earth hour we were all encouraged to switch off our electrical devices for the hour. It was 8pm to 9pm GMT a couple of weeks ago. The Green Party (which is a junior government partner) were promoting this until they realised that they had there annual conference at that time and that their leader would be giving his keynote speech live on TV at the time! You couldn’t make it up!

On a Cars note, do you think Cars 2 will feature hybrids and electric cars? Fillmore would love it.

  • Murpheeie says:

Starbucks is global we (Ireland) also get free coffee tomorrow, shame nearest branch is 75km away! But it is next to a TRU and they sell ….cars!

  • Uh, Earth Day is April 22nd.

  • John in Missouri says:

Met, tomorrow is Tax Day in the U.S. — maybe you meant “Dearth Day”, as in I will have a dearth of cash left after I pay my taxes.

(MET: I wrote the IRS a note that for every dollar of taxes I owe, I’m planting a tree – how could they say no to that?)
