Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Van With Stickers … Um, Not So Far …

Some-many (all?) international buyers of CHASE Van with Stickers is reporting that there appears to be no stickers on Van with Stickers …

Which would make him just Van … for some people who are still missing Van, that’s not such a bad thing but for Van with Sticker buyers …

Here’s the scene …

So, if your Van is missing a sticker, here ya go …

I think that’s the right size?

Or maybe there will be a mail in program – send in your card, a self addressed stamped envelope, and you will receive a teeny, tiny sticker …

Along with a Matty hologram of authenticity …

Which someone will post on eBay for $89.99.

Or you can buy the bootleg red one. 🙂

Okay, other than the part about the international ones missing the stickers, I made the rest up. Happy post-Easter retail reset Fool’s Day.

And here’s hoping the fix-revise-catch it for the US releases – thanks for the int’l pic, “003.”

I didn’t see any posts about the U.S. “Van with stickers” Chase but I found one and surprise NO STICKER. I hate all the Lenticular eyes!!!

  • TrboTrex says:

No where on the front of the card does it stipulate the car is “Van with Stickers”.
Maybe it’s just Van. A hard to find car that people want and was only released once.

(MET: Int’l cards have no names to save time but it’s definitely supposed to be Van with stickers – going by the collector’s guide & listing).

  • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

The answer to the Chase Car shortage is to end the concept. If a character is worth making a casting, then the character Car needs wide distribution. It should see the same distribution of any other Car. I believe many persons on this site overrate the popularity of the entire Cars line. I find it more difficult to find popular castings of Hot Wheels and the latest Hasbro Marvel Universe action figures. Of course, when you see offerings on this site of multiples of Chase Cars on the Trading Forum, it means that locale has effectively been depleted of Chase Cars for other local buyers. Even if the Car is sold at cost to another site collector, it depletes the inventory for local collectors or casual buyers. Just dump the concept!

  • Roswell says:

perhaps the cars division of mattel should give its big decision powers to a committee of cars fans, so the cars that get released are actually going to be want-able!

also, chase cars should be rethought, maybe have each chase car internationally released and (like the strict cars days rules) 1 case full of chase cars put out on the same day, and then again 1 week later,
so cars fans know what day to do hunting, and everyone gets a fair chance of getting one, and not have to pay through the teeth on ebay!

also…all chase cars must be good!
no packaging variant, and no only just a slight variant,

instead of ransburge dj, how about dj with glow in the dark decals?
and boost, wingo and snott rodd could be follow up chases?

    • Shadow_Faststart says:

OMG! You’re making too much sense! Matty would never go for a LOGICAL release strategy!

I propose making them ALL Lenticular “Chase” cars. And while they’re at it, forget all the different characters. Afterall, the ONLY Cars that sell are red McQueens… and maybe a couple of Maters… *sigh* I might have just doomed the hobby… 😉

  • CaptainChunk says:

Wow, imagine that, another wasted use of the “Chase” idea.

Granted it’s a terrible idea no matter what they use it for….

  • Daniel says:

Got 3 so far (in Canada)…none have any stickers nor a Ransberg paint as some have speculated.

Not that this constitutes a Chase, but what I did notice is that segmented front end is significantly larger than the lower bumper it used to be.

  • Roswell says:

    once again mattel fails!

maybe its a new special case in a series?

    tar mcqueen without tar?

    sally with cone without cone?

    blowing bubbles mater without bubble?

team view zeen without pitty, view zeen or trailer?

this supports my previous statement that mattel are run by monkeys!

    • quercy says:

Cannot be because a monkey can make a difference between an apple and a banana. Mattell don’t! Let’s say they are run by politicians… They promise something but offer something else… and we cannot see where they are going… (they don’t know themselves anyway) 😉

  • Bob Eckel/TheeNaughty Knight says:

Where do I pay the $89.99? I want the RED one! Unless they have it in BROWN to match my dog’s eyes.

  • beast1997 says:

    thats a dog pal.

  • Met, Van with Bumper Stickers on american card will have a bumper sticker right?

(MET: Well, I can promise you it will say VAN with Stickers in English … there will be a Green Minivan and there will a UPC code … let’s spin the wheel to see what else we get 🙂 ).

  • Piston Car Hunter says:

I used to see Van in stores all the time. Is it just people who started collecting later that are missing him?

  • John in Missouri says:

    Is he Lenticular?

  • L8rM8r says:

I had heard some of the international reports that the new chase was missing the sticker. I know that Van is still one that I hear people looking for, but it would be nice to get a Chase vehicle as advertised.
