Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: The 1:24 Lightning McQueen-Disappear Here

It’s still hard to tell what exactly is going on with the 1:24 scale lightning McQueen and the entire 1:24 scale lineup but it does appear they have left the Area 51 Hanger … next destination?

I guess it makes logical sense as it has the Matty At Rest logo …

Matty White
Indicating, “You Can Keep a Knocking, But You Can’t Come In …”

Box
Red cardboard box top & plastic base.

Box Top Off
The hubs are nice – not screws – so can unlock them and lock them back on …

Hubs
Bottom
Non-rubber rubber tires but they don’t feel as close to old days of real soft rubber as the Kmart CARS Day CARS with their more pliable rubber-like feel.

Back CU
Quality and detailing is nice.

Wheel CU
1 Winner, 42 losers …

Side CU
Or for CARS 2, 1 winner, 67,845 losers (and each one in diecast form 🙂  ).

Side
So, as they are available under the ‘Matty At Rest’ banner, when will it be out?

When Matty is done napping again?

How much will they cost?

What about Mater, Doc, Sheriff & Ramone in 1:24?

Shhhh – Matty is resting. Shhhhh.

So, take some more Gaspirin (now coated with 20W-40 AND SpareOMint Flavored WD-4o!) and chill.

The “store-bought” retail & online retailer version is out and available for ordering. See the post here with photos. As you can see, the CARS are exactly the same – packaging is different and tires look like the 1:55 version in the “retail” version but in this case, you’re really not gaining much other than the grooves (as the tires feel the same) AND if you’re keeping it on the base, unless you put a tiny flood lamp near each one, you can’t even tell they are grooved … unless you are the type of person that enjoys reaching under diecast carriages to get a road feel of the tires … but please do that in the privacy of your own home.
