Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Mater Saves Christmas – It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like …
Of course, we get to celebrate the CARS Holiday this Saturday at Kmart. You even get a coupon …
But later this year, or about 189 days to be mostly precise … yep, almost that time of the year – scary, huh … this will be the first year we’ll have real holiday CARS and not CARS in mock holiday packaging.
We got a mini snapshot when “trading cards” were printed in the CARS magazine of what we might get and now the list looks finalized …
The series is called “Mater Saves Christmas.” Presumably there will be a book to go along with it? The book will NOT be included with the CARS – available separately as with the Storytellers Series:
Christmas McQueen
Holiday Ramone
Holiday Sally
Holiday Sheriff
Reindeer Mater
Santa Doc
There will be six CARS available as singles – the 6 above. There is a also a 6-pack version. Not exactly sure what is in the 6-pack version – whether it’s the 6 above or as Mattel (and other toy companies) might/probably will do? … include another one or two holiday CAR that is only available in the 6-pack and not as a single … other choices might be?

Even more than a book (whihc will be awesome) I would love for there to be be a Cars Christmas special.
My little dudes really love the World of Cars book though. Or maybe they just like it when I talk like Mater.
I will definitely pick these up as they are very different in appearance and will finally warrant the $5-$6 price point each.

Was kind of hoping that Sally would have real furry earmuffs like Guido’s Ferrari fro, but she turned out cute just the same.
I think Lightning needs the same treatment as the custom ones made by one of our members last year . . .fuzzy white beard and a nice santa hat!!
These will be perfect for my Cars christmas village!! I do agree McQ is boring. Can we at least add a little glitter people?! Do it for Santa!!!

These are adorable! Although, Christmas Lightning looks a little low on holiday spirit. Everyone else looks very festive!
I would like to see “Snow Plow McQueen” as some sort of variation from when he had to fix the road.

I need TWO sets of these, one to (look away non openers) OPEN and play with and one to (look away faint of heart) drill holes in and put hangers on to make ornaments for the tree !!!

The Christmas Tree on Sheriff’s rear reminds me of something I had as a child. It was like a wooden block play set or something, and the trees were just like that. They were like pegs that you put into a board — WHAT AM I THINKING OF???!?!? Ahhhhh!!!!
