Slashfilm.com has thoughtfully rounded every Easter Egg in every Pixar film …

SPOILER ALERT!

uppizzaplanet

This is the first appearance of a Pizza planet truck though clearly not Todd … this looks more like some panel truck plus he’s not all rusted ๐Ÿ™‚

Apparently. Todd appears later in the film also.

BTW, an Easter Egg is a term for hidden or insider jokes for films and or DVD’s (Easter eggs in video games might contain hidden levels or hidden characters …. ahhhhh! Mario is nude! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  ).

Check out all the Pixar ones here at SlashFilm.

Warning! SPOILERS! SPOILER ALERT!

Anyone eat at the Pizza Planet restaurants at Walt Disney Worldโ€™s Hollywood Studios or at Disneyland Paris?

    Ladies & Gentlecars,

Funny, when I first met JL I worked on the entire Bug’s Life line. Funny cause my management at that time wanted to create conflict when it wasn’t really needed.

I’m sure John remembered me when I was pitching a Battling Flick. I was following orders. His right eyebrow raised, yikes.

    LUCY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only hope he’s forgiven me.

I bet he just sees it as a funny “remember when?….” Memory, Its probably a better first impression than spilling coffee all over him, or like having a huge spot on your shirt from a pen in your pocket, or something like that LOL

I saw him at the end of the movie outside the ice cream store. He’s on the left-hand side of the screen, in the back.

And yes, I’ve eaten at the Pizza Planet in Disney MGM (or whatever it’s called now) at Disney World. Awesome place to eat!

  • PirateDad says:

    Not related, but funny story….

PirateSon and PiratePrincess were arguing about the name of this game on her DS…I told PirateSon to drop it and stop being so difficult…he responded, “I am NOT being difficult, I am RIGHT!”

I almost drove off the road laffing!!

  • John in Missouri says:

Since going to see “Up” on Friday night, we’ve spent the last few days watching every other Pixar film on DVD. I hadn’t watched “A Bug’s Life” in years, and when watching the end credits, was shocked to see that Hayden Panettiere voiced Dot!

  • Lorri says:

In what Mario game can you find Mario nude and how?
My son is a Mario freak, this will kill him! He doesnt know what easter eggs are, so could someone explain to me how to do it? He has Mario on the wii (Mario Cart, olympic games and old downloaded games)and also on an old NES (Mario 3 and super mario) Sorry for the tangent Met but you brought it up…….

(MET: I was thinking of the least likely character we’d want to see nude ๐Ÿ™‚ … NO! He’s nude! Don’t enlarge him ๐Ÿ™‚ But there are plenty of Easter egg levels in all the Mario games … next time you can impress him ๐Ÿ™‚ … Here’s some Google Search results for EASTER EGGS or you can search for specific games – most large video game sites have an Easter Egg page … you do know the CARS DVD Easter Egg, right?).

    Cars II production suggestion(s)

Can we please have some sort of Homage to the following Car builders?

    Lil John Buttera

    Boyd Coddington

    Nascar Drivers?

    Dale Earnhardt Sr

    Donny Allison

    Tim Richmond

  • Nascarfan says:

    Poker Playing Dogs

    Graf Zepplin

Rambo Reference (indirect – old man getting ready for the fight tossing the merit badges on)

Star Wars serveral times (direct and indirect)(old man extending the cane out both directions as the Syth would a double ended lightsaber)

Todd: Yea its boxy but an “Homage” is an homage

    Bolt homage

    courtroom number

thats all I can think of at the moment, I am sure there were more

  • MackDaddy says:

He is seen three times. First as the house is lifting up over the city.(block version) Second time as the kid is hanging from the hose (down in the street below} and last sighting is near the end of the movie to the left of the ice cream parlor. My kid also spotted the ball but I am not sure where it appeared.

  • Roswell says:

cant wait to watch this! ๐Ÿ˜€

    um, cars question;
McQueen has a yellow stripe on his rear bumper cus hes a rookie right?

does a red stripe mean anything?

just noticed my (new) Retread has one that doesnt realy go with the patterning,

now my ‘outside MSOTS set’ racer collection is upto 9, (in order)
LeakLess, NitroAde, RPM#64, Gasprin, NoStall, TrunkFresh, TowCap, ShinyWax & Retread.

(if only i can get that kmart case w/ those new racers :/)

    • Nascarfan says:

2 Yellow stripes (broken in the middle as for a license plate area)one on each side is Rookie designation.

Lightning McQueen with the ONE yellow stripe and Medicated Bumper Ointment INSIDE that yellow stripe is an ad/sponser sticker in red and nothing more.

Retreads Red Stipe is artwork for his team and nothing more. Its paint of the paint scheme.

      • Patrick says:

No, McQueen is a rookie. The “Medicated Bumper Ointment” slogan on top of the yellow was the only way for Rust-Eze to put the continuous message (Rust-eze Medicated Bumper Ointment, New Rear End Formula!) under the Rust-eze logo. So, in the Cars land or world, within the Piston Cup Racing Series, One giant yellow stripe or two identical yellow stripes (if there is any) means that the racer is a rookie. In Cars 2, expect it to be off for McQueen has been racing for 7 years, 4 months, and 24 days (can anyone back me up me on this?).

  • iamspeed says:

TODD appears at the very end of the movie……..don’t want to give away too much……..he’s to the left of the screen.

TODD’s Rocket was extended higher than normal in the second sighting, if my eye’s didn’t deceive me.

  • Sylt says:

Iยดve been in Disneyland Paris 15 times. Since 4 years the Pizza planet restaurant is closed. But I still have photos when it was open. Do you need some information about ?

  • CaptainChunk says:

I wasn’t sure it was him at first when we saw it on Friday, until I realized he’d been “block-ified” like all the rest of the cars in the movie.

Didn’t catch the second appearance. We loved the movie though, another job well done by Pixar. Our theater didn’t have the new short playing in front, is that only if you go to the 3D versions now?

  • Carlos says:

Yes I did, I live in Orlando. Why?

  • kd says:

I saw UP this weekend. I noticed this one but not Todd later on.

  • Albert Hinkey says:

He also appears in the parking lot of the ice cream shop at the end of the movie. You have to look quick.
