Does Google Know You Too Well? How To Stop Search History.

There are two schools here and you can choose. If you prefer that Google keep track of your searches to expedite your & other future searches, you are all set to go. If you would prefer that Google not track your searches? Simply log in to your Google account on the main web page – your page will look something like this …

Click on SEARCH HISTORY on the top.

Check the items you want to remove and click REMOVE ITEMS and then select PAUSE so Google will no longer track your individual searches … they will still keep track of your searches to help keep the listings accurate in a broad sense (when you click on the 4th link after a search, that tells them the 4th link is more accurate than 1, 2 or 3). Google essentially announced they would strip out your IP information faster so after 6 months (?) your searches will be lumped in with everyone else’s … presuming you REMOVE and then PAUSE your individual search tracking.
