Mattel Disney Pixar Toon: Radiator Springs 500½ Diecasts – Next

The Rad Road Rally Toon short diecasts have arrived in some Walmart stores – the next ones are listed …

The 4 definitely on the list are:

“Fillmore with Jugs”

Fillmore

Ramone (unsure if he’ll be “hydraulic” or not – but since these are $2 more than regular diecasts, maybe).

Ramone

“Sarge with Canopy.” There does not seem to be a clearer view of the side so I’m not really sure what it is other than a mock-look of a Conestoga Wagon?

Sarge

There is also an off-road Mater which this seems to be the prototype of …

Offroad Mater

Except nowhere in the short does Mater look like this … in fact, the only “off-road” Mater should look something like this (as when Mater is off-road he looks like this).

mater

It’s unlikely we’ll get more diecasts than these 4 but here are some others from the short …

band hulu

(Notice Muggsy Liftsome is in the band?)

Flo

mater hulu

Red & Sheriff are with Sarge in the photo above.

So far only found at Walmart and TRU?

Let us now if you spot Fillmore, Ramone, Sarge or Mater.

If you can’t wait, Amazon had the first wave in stock a few days ago at $7.99 each.

So for the RS 500.5, we’ve now seen the four out of town racers, an off-road version of LMQ and Mater, the Ramone repaint in the 3-pack, and back-door China now has versions coming of Sarge and Fillmore. That’s nine vehicles. Is the series now complete, or will more be made?

(MET: That’s all that’s listed so far …).

I think Sarge is supposed to be an early car from the early 1900’s, I see a gas lantern by his A-pillar and those straps that come down to his front bumper, reminds me of the early Model T’s with the collapsible tops, they also had straps just like that to hold the top in place.

Of all of them, I wouldn’t mind having the ‘Stanley’ Mater, Flo, Fillmore, Lizzie, and Sheriff from above. Not really digging Off-Road Mater. Maybe if they got rid of the big plastic front bumper. I also wish Ramone would have matched with Flo. Like maybe a plaid suit or an old Oxford shoe design. Fedora even.

Sadly, it looks like we will only be getting a regular, non-hydraulic Ramone based on this eBay listing (http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-arrival-Mattel-Disney-Pixar-Cars-Road-Rally-Ramone-Toy-Car-1-55-Loose-cars-/171384996421?pt=TV_Movie_Character_Toys_US&hash=item27e7578245). But, its still nice to see new cars from this short, I wish I could find them in my area already!

  • Mack_me_Bucko says:

There will also be a non-modified LMQ available from the Radiator Springs 500 1/2 short — since the new LMQ and the Neon Racer LMQ both have _two_ fuel fillers (one on each “hip, left and right) as opposed to the older LMQ’s that only have one fuel filler.

So that gives us the five existing off-road racers, the four announced above, and then the tenth in the series will be “stock” LMQ from the short.

  • tiki-mon says:

Wow, those are COOL! Found the off road racers at ToysRUs, Hopefully ToysRUs will start to stock these, too.

  • Tmremote says:

I believe someone found them at ToysRUs..but Walmart is basically it.
    Looking forward to these!!

  • RRichie09 says:

Why does the prototype of mater look like he just got done devouring one of the tractor cows alive?

  • Mack_me_Bucko says:

I have the Ramone from the good old Chinese back door already — two of them, in fact. He has a nice paint job, but he isn’t “hydraulic” — just a regular low rider Ramone.

I can’t wait for these next four to appear. Sarge looks like he has a wooden side assembly to represent the wagon bed?

Saw the big plastic version with dvd that Met mentioned in another post at my local TRU ( Chino Hills) yesterday, but no diecasts yet.

  • Clearysdad says:

    cant wait for another ramone

  • cac1959 says:

I’ve seen them at a couple Walmart stores and one Toys R US so far…$5.97 at Walmart and $5.99 at TRU.

Opening the new RS 500 1/2 diecasts has actually got my son playing with his Cars again. Looking out for some more new ones!
