Disney Pixar 3-Disc Wall•E DVD Coming Tomorrow

I don’t think I really need to sell anyone on the merits of Pixar’s Wall•E … :-) but just wanted to give you a heads up that you might want to consider the 3-disc DVD version of Wall•E coming out tomorrow.

There are a planet-full of extras for film fans, Pixar fans and fans of Wall•E including the 87-minute docu on Pixar with interviews of all the important people … INCLUDING these Extras …

1. BURN-E (New Animated Short - This is a short about the welder robot who was seen banging his fists against the door of the Axiom spaceship)

2. BnL Shorts (An Amusing Peek Into The Inner Workings Of The Buy n Large Corporation)

3. Lots Of Bots Storybook (This Imaginative Storybook Comes To Life Loaded With Fun Games)

4. Making Of Featurettes

5. Bot Files (Get To Know WALL-E’s Robot Friends)

6. Presto (The short from the theaterical release)

7. Deleted Scenes (including “Garbage Airlock” (WALL-E rescues EVE from being ejected from the ship, then revives her) and “Dumped” (when WALL-E gives the plant to EVE, she realizes she must take it to the bridge so it can be analyzed).

8.  Sneak Peek WALL-E’s Tour Of The Universe (Join WALL-E on his own private tour of the Universe through the World-Wide Telescope, narrated by Auto-Pilot.)

10. Animation Sound Design: Building Worlds From The Sound Up Legendary Sound Designer Ben Burtt Shares Secrets Of Creating The Sounds Of WALL-E

11. Audio Commentary With Director Andrew Stanton

12. The Pixar Story By Leslie Iwerks An Award-Winning Filmmaker Tells The Riveting Story Of The Innovative Company That Revolutionized Hollywood. (87-minute docu on Pixar with interviews and rare clips!)

13. WALL-E’s Treasures And Trinkets Hilarious Moments

PLUS you get a DIGITAL COPY included to view on your PC, Mac or iPod/iPhone.

Our Amazon Link to the 3-Disc Version - a nice price at $22.99 which includes the DIGITAL COPY (you get a code to download at the iTunes store - normally, around $14.99 to buy a iTunes new movie).

And like everything else now, there are more versions to wade through :-)

The Blu-Ray version also with everything above & the DIGITAL COPY is $24.99. There is also a Blu-Ray version that is only two discs and does NOT include a Digital Copy version - for a NICKEL less so … if you’re going Blu Ray, $.05 extra for the Pixar Docu and a digital version for your iPod/iPhone is a much smarter way to go … :-)

The single disc version includes a couple of the shorts, deleted scenes and the Animation Sound Design featurette.

While you’re at Amazon, you can also pick up the two books about the history of Pixar - the “official” one written by the producer of the docu of Pixar on the disc …

To Infinity and Beyond!: The Story of Pixar Animation Studios.”

The Pixar Touch: The Making of a Company,” the unofficial account but very detailed book that picks up the story even before Pixar became Pixar and how all the major players arrived.

Or if you just prefer the art of the their works …

The Art of Wall•E … there has been one for every Pixar movie - if you don’t have them, better hurry - The Art of CARS is only available used.

You can also get a $300 version of the Art of Ratatouille, Limited Edition with a handwritten letter from Brad Bird and five signed limited edition prints (signed by artist).

  7. Wall-E was the first movie we took our kids to; it was cute but overall it seemed so sad. Wall-E was so lonely just looking for a friend and all the people were unaware blobs. At least we saw the Pizza Planet truck!

  10. My 5 year old son loves WALL E! We’ve got every toy that’s come out. It’s a beautiful story that really teaches the kids about the earth without being preachy. I seriously doubt that this story will hold his attention as much as CARS, but right now he’s into it. He plays with his WALL E toys, but always goes back to CARS. How do the folks at Disney do it? They come up with great stories that transends age. I love CARS and everything about CARS–and I’m not 5 years old!

  11. If you have a PS3, grab the Blu Ray version. 1080p is nice (if you have an HD set).

I haven’t been here in a long time, I stopped collecting the Cars die casts a while back. I was too turned off by having to always buy them on eBay.

I may put the whole lot up for sale. SoS set, 2006 FSS set, everything.

Man..stack it up next to any other Pixar film..in all of the other films you fall in love with the characters for life…whether its Flik or Remy or Dory or Buzz or Jack Jack or Mater etc. etc. etc. Yeah really love that E.V.E quite the character development there…gross… the best part of the film is Presto! Now thats a Pixar Film!

  16. My wife just finished driving all over our area looking for the Blu-Ray Wall-e as a surprise for our daughter. Apparently there was a shipping error and none of the local stores got them in. Bummer, I was really looking forward to vegging out in front of the TV with the kiddo tonight.

And anyone that didn’t adore Wall-e is either wrong in the head or purposefully trolling.

  17. I ended up ordering the Wall-E 3-disc special edition from Amazon. Went to my WM store this morning and they had it priced for something like $34.86!?

BTW, my Ultimate Wall-E arrived from TRU several weeks ago. I’ve got him stashed away in a box in my room because I don’t want the kids to see him before Christmas. I’ve also been secretly playing with him while the kids are at school…hehe…uhmmm… I’m mean…being the good parent that I am, I’ve been testing him out to make sure he works properly so the children won’t be disappointed on Christmas day. Ultimate Wall-E is awesome!! Now if I can only figure out how to program him to clean my house and to pick up the dog poop. ;)

(MET: Now, that would be funny to see … as mom pushes the kids out the door and runs upstairs to activate the robot :-) ).

  18. I can’t believe some people lack the taste to appreciate this amazing movie. Then again, 17 out of 208 critics on rottentomatoes didn’t seem to like it.

(MET: One guy hated it because they made fun of fat people …).

    [Reply]

  19. Crisis averted, just ordered the 2 disc Blu-Ray edition for $20.86

    Have to love Slickdeals. :D

    [Reply]

  20. Has nothing to do with lacking taste..
Has everything to do with lacking substance..
    To each his own.

  21. I personally liked the movie as did my son. He wasn’t excited about it as the other pixar movies. Of course Cars is his favorite, but I think he likes Toy Story better than Incredibles but me I like the Incredibles. But I would rank Wall-E probably fifth after Monsters Inc.

    [Reply]

  22. It wasn’t that bad. It just wasn’t as good as I would expect a Disney/Pixar movie to be.

    [Reply]

  23. OK friends, I just have to vent….I was all cranked up and ready to watch Wall*E last night (because I didn’t see it at the movies because I worked my whole summer away)…..anyway, sitting there on the couch, all comfy cozy in my PJs and blankie…digging the movie and then it gets to the part of the movie where Wall*E almost gets blown up….and BAM!!! the dang DVD quits working!! just quits frickin’ workin’!!! so….I take it to the other DVD player and tried it again…BAM same thing….I was NOT a very happy camper….off to WM to exchange the dang thing….
