These are polychaete worms and some species are sold as bait in the US as bloodworms (Glycera spp) and sandworms (Nereis spp). Most freeliving polychaetes have nasty mandibles to capture their prey
Now that is the perfect “bait.” Where do I get one for my next fishing trip?
