Oh you’re right. They really took the cheap route with the engine and exhaust pipe detailing. The redline wheels are intact, though. I hope the Queen’s crown ends up being as shiny as the prototype photo.
My exact thoughts too. How nice it would have been if like the prototype picture. That plastic engine just takes away from the otherwise great Mater.
Its not like they don’t have plenty of silver paint. 🙂
The packaged version — with the plastic engine and the plastic exhaust pipes — looks like an Aroldo custom before he was able to finish it.
Maybe this is just the crappy version, and they’ll have a TRU metallic exclusive.
Anybody know the case code?
