Girl Scout Cookies: Market Share by Flavor

Apprrently the only girl scouts I know are lazy …

I don’t think I’ve ever EVER been offered any of the 23% flavors!

Or Caramel deLites sounds pretty good.

Are they hoarding those flavors for themselves?

I want Thank U Berry Munch! (Isn’t that one of those Disney Channel movies?)

I have 3 girls in Girl Scouts and 1 in Boy Scouts so you just tell me where you want me to send the Cookies and Popcorn, how many you want, and/or how many you want to send to the Armed forces and I will happily help you out and keep you stocked up. LOL

This is what it comes to when all there is at Wal-mart, Kmart, and Target are Finn McMissles.

I like to freeze Thin Mints and eat them straight out of the freezer. Try it, it’s easy to disappear a sleeve without thinking. The cold mint just keeps you coming back.

so when are we adding the Girl Scout Cookie Trading Forum?

Woah, who would of thought that less than 2 months after the release of Cars 2 the top stories for the week on TFAD would be about Cookies, Star Wars, and folding dollar bill origami??? With all the diecast drought I’ve managed to save a lot of money which has moved to two new hobbies. Collecting Toy Story toys and mopeds. Made for Each Other Ken & Barbie arrived today almost completing my collection. Still need to pick up RC car which is pricey at $84. Course, a lot cheaper than the new moped addiction. I may consider selling off some of the Cars collection to fund that one…

Oh, and for the record I can sit down and mow through a box of Samoas with ease…until I realize I probably just consumed over 4,000 calories in one sitting. 🙁

It has been 25+ years since I sold Girl Scout cookies, but I am a big fan of consuming them! I found out this year when I couldn’t find some of my favorite kinds that there are 2 different Girl Scout cookie bakeries, and each regional Girl Scout council picks their baker. The 2 bakeries are the reason for the different names for some of the same cookies. Both bakeries are required to sell Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Sandwich/Do-si-dos® and Shortbread/Trefoils every year and then up to 5 other types of cookies so some regions will have different cookies available than other regions. My region switched bakeries from 2010 to 2011 so this year I had to import a few boxes of Dulce De Leche through relatives in another state, but my all-time favorites are Tagalongs!

  • Tom says:

Dulce de leche sounds good, as does lemon creme, but I don’t think I have seen these…

I think I like the Samoas best, then Thin Mints. Never was a big fan of the Peanut Butter ones. Will have to look for the Berry ones next time. Usually the Girl Scouts around here only offer like 4 different kinds.

THIN MINTS ALL THE WAY! 🙂

  • Mariela says:

  • Micky says:

    Thin Mints all the way!

  • John in Missouri says:

Peanut Butter Sandwich, ALL. DAY. LONG.

As a UK resident, this is all just a mystery to me. Apart from that one episode of Friends, where Ross is trying to send that girl scount to space camp and has to “cut” Monica off.

(MET: Once a year, these 8-year old paramilitary girls make it easier it easier to buy cookies … if you say no, they chase you through the streets until sign the form ordering a dozen boxes … but this year, I’m only buying the Berry cookies so no more settling for Thin Mints).
