Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: More Toons Deluxe (Megasize) Coming …

There are three more cases coming of Toons Deluxe (Megasize) but all arriving after Christmas … no word on the mixes yet but it looks like El Materdor will be first (already out in the EU) …

Thanks “SlicePie” for upcoming pics.

Then I-Screamer’s biggest fan …

And what is currently called, “Mater with Electrical Hat,” which if it’s actually released under that name means some accountant won some bet as it is clearly the worst descriptive NAME ever …

Were they afraid of being sued by WB by naming it “Mater Bat?” Or Meatlof by naming it “Mater Bat Out of ****”?

What’s next for LITERAL TRUTH IN ADVERTISING?

Will Jay Limo be renamed “We Discovered a Way to Make a Diecast with 1% Zinc?”

Will Red Bull be renamed, “Carbonated Robitussin and Caffeine Powder?”

I’d like Bat Mater to be named Materloaf. To stick with the RnR theme.

And why isn’t El Materdor translated as El Materdor in Spain? Instead, he’s called El Hookador? Seriously? Sounds like he’s been seen walking the streets there a bit too much… But that’s just me.

I can’t believe that the US hasn’t gotten El Matardor. I’ve had one for about 3 months now. Something Canada got before the States unreal, but still no Chuy’s up here.

    • quercy says:

Must be patient I guess… I desaparetaly search for CHUY and believed it will never come since other places have it for months… suddenly it’s raining CHUY now…. Same thing will happen with Bessie I’m sure…

  • babychristianscars says:

  • After Christmas???
    must be patient

  • DBCarsGuy says:

Lawsuit or no lawsuit…I vote for the name Mate Loaf.

  • Dolly says:

We have El Materdor already. My son will get CRAZY if he sees the other two. He loves Heavy Metal Mater 🙂 Hope they are out soon.

… and we don’t really know exactly what’s left from line one to be released… Is there an other collection to do in this world more weird than this one??? and I’m not talking about the TOONs… shorts 4 come out before 1 who come out before 3 who become before 5 but after 6 (kidding but not that much)…

By the way MET is the TOON “REAL” checklist (because only you can make it right) is one of your project for early 2011???

(MET: I’m going through my pile now – yea, CONFUSING! 🙂 What’s 20? Whats 23?)

  • Fillmore1234 says:

Anyone know the Numbers to these bad-boys?

  • I-am-speed says:

I’ve got 12 bulldozers still waiting for their archnemesis to arrive in our stores…….El Materdor! Ole!!!

  • dikenlitel says:

Mat Out Of hell. All rise!

  • LUCA says:

    Bat Mater…It is AWESOME!

  • I’m looking forward to finally getting El Materdor here! I-Screamer’s Biggest Fan and that new Mater look awesome!

  • carscollector1 says:

I actually have a Toons cars poster listing “Music Video Mater” as a Deluxe/Megasize car… perhaps that’s this mysterious Bat Mater?

  • Kevin W says:

I was SO hoping for I-Screamer’s biggest fan!

  • Brown Fury says:

Will there be the “moderfied” version of Mater with the wooden additions from Tokyo Mater? I’ve been contemplating on making my own but would rather not if there’s going to be an “official” version produced.

  • karen says:

I’m a little worried as I vowed I would not buy any cars from the second movie for my son. Yet I also didn’t want to buy any Toons, but then couldn’t resist because so many are so darn cute.

  • PVHauler_16 says:

Enough of Toons. Back to finishing the movie. What about RV’s? Seems stupid for Mattel to miss the holiday season for those.

    • Jack says:

I believe the plan is to start releasing some real good main line releases after Christmas to coincide with the first releases from Cars 2.
It seems Mattel wants the original Cars collectors in the stores looking for RVs and such at the same time that the first Cars 2 cars are on the pegs.
Overlapping releases from both movies is obviously the plan. I bet it works also. Much better then a sudden stop in one line and a whole new start. We will be in the stores with great cars 2 cars right in front of us as we try to add to our original Cars collections. How can we pass?

      • I-am-speed says:

Jack, I said at least a year ago that we were seeing a deliberate slowing of releases as Disney and Mattel try to keep the interest in Cars at a reasonable level until they can start releasing Cars 2 items, probably well before the release of the movie itself.

Disney is the master of marketing, so there’s no doubt that their plan is in motion to create an overlap of interest.

Cars 2 die-cast have already leaked onto Ebay several times, so it will be interesting to see how far into 2011 we get before we see character die-casts from Cars 2 in our stores.

It’s interesting to look at which items seem to have deliberately targeted.

Team haulers(not haulers like Valdez) hit a major roadblock. We got halfway through the list of 36 team haulers before we saw a dead end in their release.

Shiny Way? When we see that hauler on shelves, the others will surely follow on a regular basis.

  • LUCA says:

    Mater Bat is AWESOME!!!!

  • cac1959 says:

Looking forward to I-Screamer’s Biggest Fan and the new Mater… I have had El Materdor for several months – got it from a UK friend…

I like the International Cardback versions of Mater(s) a lot – I like the various names…
