Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Movie Moments Night Skyline (European Release)
The Movie Moments are on hiatus in the US – since they are a Target exclusive – at the time, it seemed like Target would be crammed full of a constant stream of a cascade of releases – Team Haulers, Pitty & Crew Sets, 4-Packs and more Final Laps than a hound dog has fleas in the bayou on a hot summer night. So, who would need Movie Moments …
So, who knows – we might see these this year end-holiday season?
Not to be annoying, while I understand the “big screen” design to designate a “Movie Moment” from the movie – why is the screen in the middle of a freeway? and with out-of-scale CARS driving in an oddball direction?
The previous “big screens” made sense as the “big screen” on the infield of the Speedway of the South and by the Dinoco tent on the grassy part of the infield of the speedway but in the middle of a freeway? Not to be annoying but I’m annoyed for our European friends.

Oddly enough my local TRU in the UK had a peg full of WOC Buzz and Woody Movie Moments and best of all they where £2.99 each!

1) why do mattel waste money designing new packaging?
2) why do mattel think re-selling the same things over and over will get them more money?
3) why do mattel suck so much? (lenticulars, re-re-re-re-released characters, really stupid chase cars, country specific collector cars ect….)

They have been here for ages, fed up looking at them to be honest. If anyone wants them I have no problem picking them up for you. They cost €9.99 and shipping to the US is €5.
I love the movie moment packs. I too wish they had more of these and not re-releases.
On another note, I called Mattel Customer Service (800-524-8697) to ask about getting a replacement for my Van w/Stickers that didn’t come with the stickered version. The lady grabbed my name, phone number, address, and asked for the part # (R8172). She then asked where I bought it and how much I paid for it. She then told me she was sorry for the mistake Mattel made and would send me a voucher check for $4. I told her I didn’t want the $4, but the corrected version and they said they didn’t have any. 🙁 Oh well…it was worth a shot.
Very boring to see all of these re-releases turned into MM, instead of coming up with new sets of characters we haven’t seen before. 🙁
How about putting the Apple iCar with Race Damaged Mood Springs? They could call it Mac & Windows.

They look really nice, is there any word that these are pretty much dead in the US. I know I saw some newer Race O Rama ones at Target, but that was quite some time ago and not sure if they had any plans on bringing them back.

I received the Gasprin/Tow Cap and Mr & Mrs King from a great friend in the UK several weeks ago… they look sharp… Somebody has dropped the ball in determining that we don’t want these classic Cars in the US…
