Great – Just like Dude-Met-Dude said… Remember when cars new-releases used to be like Christmas?

    Well… I feel like Santa (Matty) doesn’t exist anymore…

gOD bless everyone and remember, although I am a Minty-Mint-Star… You can’t take it with you….

(But you can bet on me being the first to have two DELUXE-SIZED-RAMONE-HYDORLOLICS in his collection!)

    I has been a slice…

PS – Check out our flicker page for a BIG thanks to the DUDE called Met.

Ordered my case. No Kmarts any where close by. Glad they finally fixed the it problem, but sure was a long delay. Wish this case had a chase car in it like Kmart 1.

  • Jack says:

Yes I believe Kmart limited the amount of presale cases. I wouldn’t worry about them being hard to get on or after June 12th. I just can’t see a larger demand for many Cars in this case compared to last kmart day. Especially the lenticulars and a few of the easy to get racers. Now kmart day 5 and 6 with Tachomints, Gaskits and maybe even Apples,; I see a big demand there. Many people will be completing their speedway sets on the next 2 kmart events if infact they are all released.

You know all the talk about the Apple iCar and how tough it is to release it with Steve Jobs’ approval, I was shocked to see that car in the 2010 Collector’s Guide. Maybe that is a good sign of things to come?

      • John in Missouri says:

Sorry for the false alarm — I saw a Panini sticker featuring the Apple iCar and confused it later with the Collector’s Guide. But my point is still that someone used the Apple iCar, so I still have hope that the car will be released someday.

  • Lorri says:

That seemed pretty fast. Must not have had very many? Why did these go so quick when everyone was wallowing in extras last year? And when everyone was griping about the selection?

    • John in Missouri says:

Maybe a sign the economy is improving?

    • kdthomas says:

Well this is an exlusive to KMart. Most stores do exclusive deals in order to lure customers INTO the store in hopes that while you picked up the latest Synthetic Rubber Tire racer you also notice that other item in the appliance section you can’t leave without. Kinda like how grocery stores put the milk in the back of the store.

    • Piston Car Hunter says:

A good portion of orders may have been from folks like me who don’t have a Kmart anywhere nearby.

  • Charlie says:

John – will you still be able to grab a Transberry Juice and Sputter Stop for me?

    thanks!

  • Nascarfan says:

Using paypal directly has always caused problems from point of sale to point of billing because of the time span. Use debit/credit cards very few problems that way.

  • Ace Diamondrunner says:

I received an error using my PayPal account – Kmart wouldn’t process it. Found out through Kmart customer service that it apparently happens a lot with PayPal accounts…but that’s okay, I just picked up a 20% off Kmart toys coupon from Burger King.

    Bring on the event!

    • John in Missouri says:

Yeah, that 20% off coupon is very generous — we bought several extra toys for like 69 cents a piece just to get the coupons.

      • Samuel says:

        Hey John!!

We don’t usually go to BK, but how does the coupon work? Is is 20% off all toys (no limit) or just one item? Thanks!

(MET: You too?! Not reading us everyday? Details HERE – WEEKS AGO … πŸ˜› ).

        • John in Missouri says:

You can buy an entire cartload of toys and use it. The cashier kind of looked at it blankly, but then it ran it through — I don’t know if she was confused by the big MARVEL logo or just shocked that someone was saving 20%. πŸ™‚

(MET; Hey, if it’s a toy, it should be 20% off).

    • MiaSenorita says:

Excuse my stupid question: But how do you get these coupons?? Thanks!

(MET; You’re not getting our Twitter feed? What’s up with that? πŸ˜› Details HERE. Probably the last week for Iron Man toys …).

      • John in Missouri says:

Just order a BK Kids Meal and the Iron Man toy and coupon booklet are in the same baggie. OR, just tell them you want to buy a BK Kids Meal toy — the ones I bought were just 69 cents each.

Oh, and the only stupid question is the one not asked! πŸ˜‰

      • Kevin W says:

Or — Collect all the coupons left on the table after my daughter’s Soccer Finale Party at Burger King. Silly though, you only need one coupon for a boatload of toys.

      • MiaSenorita says:

Ha! I knew it was a stupid question since I haven’t been following very well lately. . . πŸ™‚ And I am FOLLOWING you on twitter – scared aren’t ya??

Next thing you know I’m going to show up at SDCC! πŸ˜›

(MET: I think SD is just south of the Plains border … as long as your time is not all spent fighting off bears …).

        • MiaSenorita says:

So…. I reluctantly took my two kids to Burger King last night to get some Kids Meals… WELL they are sold out of the darn Ironman toys.. she said they have ironman necklaces (???? who wears this?) and BK cars. I asked if I could buy the toys seperately, and she said yes. I asked her if they had a coupon in the necklaces, she said she didn’t think so πŸ™ All this through the drive thru at 5:00! HAHAHa – she obviously thought I was a nut. But long story short – I didn’t get any coupons. Anyone have an extra??

          umass_rocks at yahoo

          • We are massing some extras. email me

            nascarnbroncosfansATmsn.com

and yes the necklaces DO have the coupon, its on the last page of the foldout Iron Man insert

            • MiaSenorita says:

Oh man! then I should go back and ask if I can buy some necklaces.. she just gave us the darn cars in the meals. I figured she probably didn’t know either way, but asked anyway!

              • If they dont have them anymore, drop me an email and I will send you one coupon in the mail

              • slicepie says:

πŸ˜› You have to remember you are dealing with people who work at Burger King. It’s not exactly the most highly sought after gene pool.

When I went to our Burger King and asked about the coupons with the Iron Man toys the girl at the counter looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. Then she quickly said they didn’t have any coupons, so I told her to ask her manager. She then came back with the same answer. I asked her if she had any idea what I was referring to and she said no. In my mind I wondered how she could so emphatically tell me that they didn’t have something when she didn’t even know what it was that I was looking for. So I just asked if she would get me on of the toys and I ripped it open, pulled out the coupon and showed it to her. Her only reply was that I had to pay for the toy because I opened it. I said, umm yeah, no kidding — and I’ll take a McDouble to go! πŸ˜†

                • MiaSenorita says:

LMBO! That is a great story – now I need to see that on tape because I am sure my cashier looked similar behind that ear piece she was wearing. She flat out said no… but I figured, she must just not know.

Thanks for the laugh Jake πŸ˜†

                • Mariela says:

That’s funny…it always happens when you ask for something and they quickly say NO..it’s because they don’t have any idea of what you are talking about..!! πŸ˜›

            • Angela Santopoalo says:

Hi if you could, they don’t have them here anymore either. Please help with the coupon. I would be grateful
The email on the page says is incorrect. Please email me your email and I’ll send you my address. Thankyou

          • John in Missouri says:

I’ll have to stop at my BK again and ask for the bracelets. I specifically asked for Iron Man toys, but maybe she figured I meant the actual Iron Man character.

            • Jack says:

John, you do realize you said you are going to BK to try and buy some braclets don’t you? In public no less. The thought of you actually doing this sounds too funny to me. I am sure when you- a grown man asks to buy kids meals toy braclets and you tell the employees you only want them because they have a coupon in the booklet to buy more toys they will understand then.
Perhaps you should bring a child along just to make it look good.
Ah, the things the love of the Cars make us do. Good luck braclet shopping guys. πŸ™‚

              • John in Missouri says:

Maybe I’ll have someone film me doing this for YouTube, and then Ellen will have me on her show.

                • Jack says:

Well it is true Ellen could probably relate to men who wear braclet, however, I think you have a better chance ending up on the 6:00 news.Β
Β Β In other new a middle aged man was taken into custody today at Burger King trying to buy multiple kids meals braclets. Β Police spokesman say at this time there appears to be no proof the man is a danger to himself or anyone else but obviously anytime a middle age man wants kids meal girls toys it raises a red flag. Couple that with the fact that he tried to convince children to give him the book in their toys and we thought it would be wise to elvuate the man.Β
Β Β Field reporters indicate the man was screaming about wanting coupons to buy hundreds of toy cars at an upcoming toy car day event. We beleive the man may be dilusional and perhaps obsesed with Dale Earnhart as he was also trying to explain a special Dale car was going to be released. The man apparently also still drink kids beverages as was also overheard telling the officers he needed a few dozen Transberry Juices.Β
Β Β Lets all hope he gets the help he needs. LOL Β
