CHASE Van with STICKERS – Yes, WITH (Bumper) Sticker!
Found in the Chicago area …
It’s real and everything you’ve heard is true.
While the entire international run seems to be sans sticker – the US one?
There have not been a lot of CHASE Van with Stickers (without stickers) on the shelf anyway so it’s hard to tell if those are more rare as the production is not fully released.
For instance, CHASE DJ was seemingly in low supply until it just showed up in CASE P as a “re-shipment.”
It’s just too early to call it – the dust won’t settle until for at least two-three months before we can say which is-will be more rare – with or without sticker on US card.
For instance, if WM gets a new tray-sidekick where there are 2 CHASE CARS on every tray row – then we’ll know better but until every single VAN with STICKERS is shipped … it’s up in the air.

I purchased to Vans with Stickers (but no stickers on them). Going to return them. Its’ stupid that QT did not pick this up, just get the crap out there it will sell is what Mattel is doing.
I found a van with stickers actually with sticker tonight at Target in Louisville, KY
I found a Van in the UK today that has the Nice Butte Sticker, strangly the same case (Case K 24 piece) had two Chase Van’s but the other did not have the sticker.
Both had different production dates with 12 days between them.
The earlier one without the Nice Butte also had a cross hatch textured roof box where as the one with the sticker had a normal box like the WOC version.
We still haven’t found one WITH stickers, but we were checking out the 2010 guide and the one with stickers has a different face expression than the regular lenticular one, so I guess the “real chase” should be with a “mad” expression, like in the guide….and this “error chase Van (w/o stickers)” is a regular, just in the wrong package! You know what I mean..
Dug out the 1 I have in a storage box to compare, and also of note
the 1 WITHOUT the BUTTE sticker has a cartop carrier that is clean and
has a cross-hatched pattern. My new 1, WITH the BUTTE sticker has a
“scuffy/dirty” cartop carrier WITHOUT any cross-hatch pattern.
Make Date on 1 WITHOUT Butte sticker is “0210 EA B”
Make Date on 1 WITH Butte sticker is “0740 EA B” if that has any
significance??????
January 21 was a very bad day at the Cars production plant.
March 15 was a better day!

Found 2 at 2 different Walmarts that DO NOT HAVE the BUTTE sticker.
Did find 1 at local TRUS that DOES HAVE the BUTTE sticker.
WHOOOOOOSH…. a sudden rush begins at area trus 😆

Finally! They fixed the problem! I think the Chase Van without stickers was major mistake,
…or another Mattel marketing ploy to get you to buy the fake and the real Van w/Stickers 😉 I guess they figured they had to change it up a bit instead of suckering us to buy even more McQueens.

I wonder if Mattel did recall them? may explain why we got a couple of cases in the UK a month ago and they haven’t been seen since

The chase Van I have has 2 stickers. One says Nice Butte, the other says “if you can read this sticker, you must be a crazy collector from TFAD”
We should have a contest for the funniest 2nd sticker…

You could make a sticker for Mini that says “Nice Botox”.
Was at my local Walmart here in Michigan this morning. I found one (1) chase Van on the pegs, but sad to report, the vehicle does not contain the sticker on the back bumper.
Nothing else new (for months now) at other local Walmarts or Targets in the area besides lenticular Chucki and Mario.
As previously reported, all local Targets have everything (Cars) on sale.
Hey, so this one is really an error; if you compare it to all the others found.
No, the Van Without Stickers is the error! “Mattel is Not Swell” forgot to provide the sticker to their manufacturer to adhere to the casting. You cannot call a ‘corrected’ version an ‘error.’ The prevalent (so far) Van with(out) Sticker(s) is the error. Keep checking to see if the faceplate changes to “Van with Sticker.” 🙂

There’s nothing to stop a ‘customerizer’ from producing a decal sheet to slap on the windows. Back in the day just about every tourist trap sold decals to ‘stick’ on the side windows, especially on the old station wagons. In some jurisdictions it was illegal to slap on too many if it obstructed the view of the driver. When your car got slapped with a citation of that nature, it was usually because the cop was trying to fill his quota.
One of my friends made stickers…I thought I’d just put one on my opened WOC Van… I’m not going to obsess over this one… probably… maybe…
Wow I guess they just wanted to get rid of all that WOC Van stock. Here I was thinking I was all up to date with the releases and now they have the corrected version out there. I guess the hunt will continue, but I have been seeing a lot of the newer case that has Chase Cartrip and DJ already.
Me too. I found some at a Walmart. They had a whole peg alternating between Chase Cartrip and Chase DJ.
But WOC Van wasn’t lenticular… 😉

Actually, that does not explain the situation because Van with(out) Stickers is lenticular which means cutting out the whole windshield area. In addition, the entire front fascia has been redone with the cut between the bumper and the fender now coming above the headlight. All of this adds up to major die revisions. The rooftop carrier also has a different texture, almost like carbon fiber rather than looking scuffed like before.
They do not cut out the whole windshield area — lenticular eyes are just “decals” that are glued on the windshield.
John, look at the lenticulars real good as they are cut out at the windshield and it is behind a plastic windshield. Flo stands out good for this and others.

I personally found 5 Chase Van with Stickers (without Stickers). These were pretty spread out as well.
Found it as the following:
2 at 2 different Walmarts
2 at the same Target
1 at a Toys R Us.
