My Target finally got in some fresh cases, but they were both the Case N duds. 🙁
Jeff, some Targets here are getting this N Case with SWS and others are getting the VT and SD case. So maybe both cases came out concurrently, and its the luck of the draw, or better said the luck of the case shipment from Target distribution center.
Met, according to several ebay resellers of cases, this is the Case N.

How depressing!! Are you sure this isn’t Case N from the 2009 model year?
Sad but true. Waited sooo long for the Gils to come off the shelves at my Target. I was so excited that Vinyl toupee and shifty drug would be coming (worse case Mood Springs as even that Hauler couldn’t get stocked with the mountain of Gils), but nope, it was case N with contents stated above. Clutching at the shelves with one hand, searching my pockets for my prozac with the other I came across two freshly stocked lentcular cases with….Chase Darrell Cartrip. I thought I died and went to Canada.

It is depressing but unfortunately that is the case I found this week at two Targets. It was just put on the shelf and all 6 haulers were accounted for. And other collectors have found it as well. San Antonio, Houston, and in Virginia. It was very puzzling to find it. These were on new Night Skyline Blue boxes.
Same here… been waiting and waiting for Mood Springs Hauler to show up and hoping that eventually I’ll see Shifty Drug and Vinyl Toupee, only to find cases this week with Sidewall Shine and Jerry Batteries. Come to think of it, this is the first I have seen Sidewall Shine Haulers in a store around here too. Very disappointing! 😥
I am now curious about the case lettering. We know that N is this Sidewall Shine case. So what is the case letter for the new Vinyl Toupee and Shifty Drug haulers. O or P? If I recall correctly Mattel skips letters like O which look too much like a zero 0.
But this is the exact case contents of the new case letter O or P.

I thought for sure I was seeing things, but that is DEFINATELY the assortment I saw … I KNEW I would never find the new haulers in the wild near me 🙁 …. go thing I have some great friends here! 🙂
That case is AWFUL! Except for maybe the Sidewall Hauler. But, If I see that case, all but 1 are still there.(The one that’s gone is the Sidewall.) Hopefully case Q will have this:

Hydrolic Ramone all at TARGET.

next to the Hauler. There’s RED and then PINK.

If you look at Shifty Drug Hauler’s cap in the photo you can see the Shifty Drug logo with two race flags…whereas the toy on it’s cap has only de logo.
I found both haulers at my local Target today (still on sale). They also had Race Damaged Mood Springs for the first time. Take heart everyone, they are on the way!
Still the same old peg warmers here in Pcola. Very disappointing to go and see only the same old cars. Nothing new since Christmas.

Found mine in NW Indiana today
I looked for these in Indiana and Ohio this week… no sign of them. No sign of Final Lap Case E Cars either… or no sign of the Bumper Save Team set… I did find the new Speedway 4 packs… I’m going to make my own poor man’s SOTS set using the boxes… and maybe my own Lightning McQueen 4 pack!
I’m sooooo far behind on the Haulers. I finally found No Stall and RPM64 today.
Wow that is some serious pink with those haulers. Love the Vinyl hauler and I can’t believe you got these while the sale was going on as well. Nice work.
Can’t wait to get these! Have been wanting Vinyl Toupee for the longest. He’s one of my favorite Piston Cup Racers. Come on Target get these already!

Hey everyone, I just hit the jackpot!
Our Target store was putting some things out in the toy department when I was in there.
On the flatbed was a Mattel box, had the CARS stamp on the side.
When I got up closer, the box said Target Exclusive Apple Car!
They opened it up for me and there were 24 “Apple #84” Cars in the box!!!
And, they were NOT lenticular!!!
What a find!!!
Now now …. We KNOW that is an April Fools JOKE … because if it REALLY happened, you would have PASSED out in the STORE … hit your head on the corner of the FLAT BED and spilled Target RED all over the floor …. we would then be reading about a murder mystery in a Target! 😆

The funny thing about Fillmore is all his therioes are correct. Including every 3rd light does blink slower and if you don’t think the big oil owners are actually more in charge of things than politicians than you aren’t paying attention. Ah but simply call the character who speaks the truth a “conspiracy” guy and than it’s not really true. In life George Carlin had a damn good idea of the conspiracy reality.
“Pepto Pink” is what I would call Shifty Drug hauler……the racer is way off from the pink it should be, just look at the movie. He’s supposed to be a cure for shifting problems, what color would he be? Not bright red.

It’s just me, or shifty drug pink hauler looks a little wierd since the car is, ahm, RED! when I saw it I thought I was Tank Coat. Well at least Vinyl Toupee is amazing!!!!

While I still believe these are WAYYYY too small, bring ’em on! ALL of ’em!
John, I agree with you that these haulers appear way too small. If you put them next to the “1/64” haulers by other manufacturers they are almost exactly the same size! Actually, I think a big part of the perception has to do with the length of the trailer. The Cars trailers are very short. Of course, scale is a slippery concept throughout the line. Compare Jay Limo to Mia and Tia or Donna Pits (a big sedan) to Nick Stickers (a compact). But they are not really scale models,they are toys and in another sense, little pieces of art that we all collect.
The expressions on those haulers are priceless.
I can’t wait for them to hit my state!

Seriously I have no freekin clue where I am going to put all of these. My son can’t walk three feet without tripping on a hauler. Lots of stubbed toes and bumped heads in our house
