“Marcus’ Mom” & family went to the new Disney on Ice show and hey, CARS!

Disney Cruises also has the CARS characters onboard – not sure if it’s a show, this same show or they just random walk-drive around the ship so you can start your stories, “When I staggered out of the bar, I ran into Mater … you was there.”

I saw that a couple people said that they don’t have little ones to take to the show. You don’t need little ones to go. I was suprised how many adults without kids come to these shows. These shows are amazing! My wife and I enjoyed it just as much as my daughter. Anything that Disney does is for the young and the old!
The company that puts on these “Disney On Ice” shows is actually not Disney at all. It’s actually Feld Entertainment which is the same company that does the Ringling Brothers Circus.
Disney is one of the last corporations that still puts quality and good taste above all else.
As I’ve said before, CARS was made for adults as much, if not more, than for kids.
Kid’s don’t get the little things, like the long line of cars to the ladies’ room/no line to the men’s room after we see Elvis in the infield…..the “tire track” vapor trails in the sky…..all the little details that are there for adults to pick up on and point out to kids.
It’s the same thing with their live shows, you go home feeling good.
LOL – I’m an adult and I didn’t pick up on those things either. Hmmm…must watch again, darn!

“Worlds of Fantasy” is the Disney on Ice show that has CARS, and the schedule shows very little except for the west coast, Vegas, Florida, and Missouri.
Too bad they aren’t coming to the Midwest, as Ramone looks awesome!

They all look awesome! I took the family about 2 weeks ago here in So. Cal, and we loved the show. My son couldn’t believe his eyes when the “Cars” came out on to the ice. I just wish they gave the audience a chance to take pic’s with the different cars. That would be soooooo awesome. If you have a chance to go see the show, do it!

at argos, i just found aload of lightyear launchers on offer, (was £9.99 (apparently) now £3.99) i picked up clutch aid and torquey pistons, they also had shifty drug and bumper save.
they get thier new season catalog on the 23rd, so im guessing they will be on offer til then, i found them in the bit where you que to order.
pdiddy55 whats wrong with lenticular? i am tired of hearing nobody likes them. its because you dont want to buy them. it would be the same if lenticulars were made first and painted version was new its just stupid.
It seems the majority of the people on here do not care for lenticulars so I was just joking around. If you like the lenticulars then buy them. No harm was meant by my comment.

just making a point it seems to be true nobody wants to buy a new line same cars again i dont blame them. but dont knock the line if you dont like it. mattel is doing what thay allways do make you spend more money.
You’re way off base with your “chicken or the egg” comment. If the Cars diecasts had started out with googly eyes, they never would have stuck around this long or been nearly as successful.

I think inflated price would have been a big deterrent for most consumers. But I can see both sides of the debate.

How does anyone know for sure that if Lenticulars came out first they would fail? I think it’s more a case of wishful thinking. Had they came out with Lenticulars to begin with, I highly doubt the line would have failed. Odds are everyone would have just accepted them. Collectors aren’t keeping this line alive. There just isn’t enough of us. Parents keep all of this going. Look around a store at all the CARS merchandise. It’s all aimed at kids and it’s selling very well. As mentioned, I think what really bothers some, is the idea that the whole line is coming out again in another form. If you don’t like Lenticulars and want to give your opinion in a mature manor, hey great. This never ending complaining and name calling of the Lenticulars (or other parts of the line) by a minority of people here is just rude and disrespectful to those collectors who like them.
This is my problem with Lenticulars: take a character like Dexter Hoover. He is key to a couple of scenes with Lightning McQueen, Chick Hicks, & The King, the three of which everyone can agree have been well-featured as not only Singles, but together in Boxed Sets and Race Tracks, on lunchboxes & posters, etc. But Dexter Hoover was never there to fulfill my kids’ imaginations as they recreated those scenes from the movie.
As Mattel progressed through numerous character releases over the years, Dexter Hoover was never one of them until last year when he was released with a yellow flag. Great!! We waited anxiously for the versions with the green flag, the white flag, and the checkered flag. But then Mattel decided they were going to declare a “do-over” and start from square one again.
So, as we now sift through dozens upon dozens of pegwarming Lenticulars looking for the Chase Cars that that match our collection, my kids have slowly begun to lose interest in the line and are moving on to other toys.
Mattel should have just waited for the launch of “Cars 2” to try this experiment.

Of course one can only think how ridiculous the idea of “Cars on Ice” would be in real life. Excellent idea perhaps for the drift cars though!
A case of Miller, and one DVD viewing later, and it might seem the greatest idea to attempt out at the Old Mill pond!

I saw this show 2 years ago at the Giant Center in Hershey Pa. This years Disney on Ice show was about the seasons and holidays. Last years show had Cars,Lion King,Tinker Bell,Litte Mermaid and some others. My daughter loves the Disney on Ice Shows.
