Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Piston Cup Racers, Haulers, Crew Chiefs & Pitty’s Update 2009
Here is the latest update for 2009 for all things Piston Cup racer teams.
This chart includes everything released so far + what’s scheduled for 2009:
Launchers (Pit Row & Lightyear Launchers).
The Crew Chief & Pitty Box Sets coming to Target in Autumn/Holiday 2009.
The Piston Cup Racers Box Sets also coming in Autumn/Holiday 2009.
Haulers through 2009.
& incorporates the 6 Piston Cup racers with rubber tires of Kmart CARS Day III – presumably in September or October.
AND you’re hearing it here FIRST – The Rev’N Go is on the WOC: Final Lap Pitty list … (along with a re-release of Octane Gain Pitty) (Target only).
AND the lenticular list of releases which includes EVERY Pitty released as a single Pitty with some interesting ones that have not been released as a non-lenticular pitty such as Mood Springs & N20 Cola … there are just a few lenticular Crew Chiefs on the list so I did not bother creating a whole new column (only Fab. Hudson Hornet & No Stall Chief are on the list). Most of them probably won’t be released until 2010 but included to save time down the line.

Of course this list is ONLY accurate as of today as more releases are added but should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.
(and if something has/was release more times under a category, I cut it off at “two” symbols – so it’s not a completist checklist but should give you a pretty good idea).

Does any one have the TARGET DPCI for the Ruber Tires Octane Gain and Chick Hicks???
Only crew chief missing is Mack! Where is his picture? Mack had to be McQueen’s chief for a short time and I remember seeing the custom photos… I think he even did two customs because the first was only near perfection… Can’t forget that masterpiece!

8 Crew Chiefs but 15 pittys on Met’s list.
Some Cars will have their Haulers made before Crew Chiefs. Guess the Crew Chiefs are not as interesting to Mattel.
Great list, but it did take me a few min to wrap my head around it all even though it is pretty strait forward. Thanks as always and I can’t get over how many more items that they could add if they wanted to.
Did a comparison of the lavender Retread rubber tire car from K Mart to Retread in my MSOTS to see what differences there might be.
Retread rubber tires version: 0869EA small bubbles in paint on hood, roof, and the 79 tampo on left side. Paint is not smooth, it has the bumpy look of improperly sprayed paint with a orange peel finish over all of the car. Crinked paint over back trunk tampo. Good news: No chips in paint.
Retread SOTS 2777EA: Paint is glass-like, absolutely smooth, great depth to the paint. perfect.
No crinkles over tampos. There is only One tiny hair imbedded in paint which is visible with a magnifying glass.

Wow – new pitties, old pitties – lenticular eyes, regular eyes. I swear this would be nearly impossible to keep track of without ya Met. The checklist/grid is very helpful. Car collecting is getting complicated!
And just to clarify, I am not the same person as “Sam” – you’ll never, ever catch me posting “first” on this forum or you can have our entire Cars collection!
