Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: J-Case, You’re Dead to Me
H is the end …
The current H Singles Mainline Case is the last one for Series M1054-999 … for 2009 … for non-exclusive non-lenticular CARS.
So, the bad news is Vitoline Pitty and Mini will not be available until Kmart CARS Day 2 on June 20, 2009 … and no extra Todd, Pizza Planet CAR in the meanwhile.
On the bright side, it is 6 less Lightning McQueen’s per case ordered by retailers.
What does it all mean?
First, it also means that from this case – Ramone-Purple, Nitroade, RPM Pitty and No Stall Crew Chief are canceled on ROR cards – at least temporarily.
Here is a chart of what was is missing from the numbered checklist – especially CARS released as WOC cards who have not yet made it to ROR:
I guess we can presume that the CHASE PACKAGING only attempts have been kabooshed by Pixar? We can probably presume that Al Oft & Dino Heli have been permanently moved to the Megasize line … and of course, Sarge was never really confirmed for ROR but listed.
So, what do we know now?
CASE H is now the last “regular-normal” ROR mainline singles card releases OTHER than the Kmart CARS Day II releases which will contain both ROR cards (as they look now) and the Piston Cup Racers on their own unique card.
CASE A of the lenticulars are scheduled for next month.
When will Target (?) get the “classics” line?
NO INFO YET.
Will Target (?) continue the current card size & ROR design motif?
NO INFO YET.
Will we see the missing CARS from ROR released as ROR?
NO INFO YET.

Sure wish it were better for you all. Unfortunately as you’ve seen before on this site, this line is kid targeted. End of story.
The number’s/marketing/sales guy’s/ dictate how these case packs/master cartons are packed out and to who.

The death of the line does seem to be the way it is going…. just think about this food for thought and put the pieces together.
Target / Amazon – Hauler’s Presale (cancelled)
Lane Mates – Done
Launcher’s – No site of Case C or D – now being released to clear them out
Target – Has never released the ROR Movie Moments, and recently (around here anyway) loaded the shelves with Old supercharged MM reduced to $6.00
New Three Packs – Does anyone know where these are?
Case H – was supposed to have a Chase Card, which was canceled, replaced with (surprise) a rerun of a former “chase” and an extra Patti (probably to get rid of the stockpile they had made for the 2 cases)
Case J – cancelled
Lenticulars – has anyone even seen a proto type on this site (let alone want to buy one)
Matty.com – don’t even get me started
Oversized – odd that they changed the assortment from Governator to Frank…(one last big push before we all quit)

My local Target has the mainline singles and check lane singles on clearance as of this morning.
Either making room for lenticulars….or H is in fact the “last”.
This line is dead, for all intents and purposes. This is NOT a good sign going forward I’m afraid. And this comes from 20+ years of collecting experience.
Today I picked up a short card Sally with Cone ROR at Meijer
Too bad about case J it has some promise with Mini and Todd coming back. I was at WM this AM and saw case A complete with impound McQueen and the little circle stickers. It took me a min to figure out what case it was with Kathy Copter and Chuki. So we like many are going backwards and getting whatever has been repackaged or is out there.
Well it gives them time to repaint Mini in the correct color, I guess. A recall before it’s released so to speak 😉
at 2 different walmarts I’ve seen cases stuck in the pallets marked -99 with a white sticker with a 7A on it (-997A) any idea what that is? They are marked as 18 cars.
What was inside them? Did you not unpack the pallets and open the cases?

Probably Check Lane Series singles. If you’re able to get the first letter and 4 digits, we can know for sure.
The singles also come in cases of 18, but the code for these cases are M1054-999A (WOC) and M1054-998A (ROR).
Has there been any word on if any of the video game Cars will be made?
Since its been so long since the game release, these wouldn’t make sense at retail. But maybe Matty exclusive would work. I think Philip is pretty cool looking. Could put him on UK chase packaging. 😛
