CASE D left the warehouse last week.
Will this be the last non-exclusive launcher case ever?
The next cases listed are for “2010” – the rumor is Target so if logic is to be followed, the next rectangular launchers will be at Target sometime in September/October (the month Mattel calls “January” and the start of a NEW YEAR …).

Of course, what is happening is that Piston Cup racers will be available with a ROUND launcher under the theme LIGHTYEAR LAUNCHER.
These LIGHTYEAR LAUNCHERS are NOT EXCLUSIVES!
Confused? Why are there two launcher series – one being an exclusive?

Well, my guess is they couldn’t make these rectangular launching devices any cheaper but could make a different launcher device cheaper so they went that way. I’m presume the newer one has less parts, less decoration and doesn’t have two moving parts (car launcher and flag lollipop). Something tells me they won’t be all that much less than the current launcher series 🙂
I suppose the good takeaway is for those collecting the rectangular launcher – they can continue even if they are only available at Target.
And presumably the Lightyear launchers will start arriving in early July …

Does anyone know if these will ever arrive in Canada??

I found fiber fuel, shiny wax, retread and mood springs, unfortunatly they were sold out of easy idle. they are in english.
Has anyone seen or heard from Traver of CTC? I pre-ordered case B and C launchers on 1/26 and haven’t heard a thing since. His voice mail box is full, so I sent an e-mail. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Just heard from Traver, they are shipping next week. Nothing to see here.
OK, I saw Shiny Wax Launchers at Target tonight, does that make any sens at all? I don’t see them on any of the case listings here.
Nevermind, found the Case D list in another post. Another collector must have gotten there before me and snapped up the Retreads :(.
Yeah, and at my Target he/she/I don’t know snatched up all the Todds, Pattis, Franks, and case C and D launchers. 🙁 I never EVER thought about quitting, but now I’m starting to feel just a tiny bit like a lot of other people here.
I am not giving up, but I am taking a lower key approach.
Heck I haven’t even found Andrea and Milton yet, but I did score a couple Elvi off the shelves.
I’ve seen Retread / RPM /No Stall and Shiny Wax launchers listed on eBay UK already. They don’t look like international cards so which ones are these? Case D?

SO exactly which target are these being spotted at? what state? im curious as to how mattel is dispersing these considering there are no online retailers yet selling the case.. just preselling.. if someone knows where i can get a case of c launchers..let me know

I found a Fiber Fuel over the weekend in a Target in York, PA.

Good thing I didn’t bother participating in that TRU N2O Cola promotion. And am very happy I got my SidewallShine.
I think TRU can cancell ANY upcomming “promotions”. Why bother if the car is going to be re-released so soon afterwards. And WHY would you not do Sidewall Shine first? What a rip-off. Get people to spend upwards of $25 for 5 cars plus shipping all for a car that less than a year later shows up for 9 bucks, or whatever a launcher costs. I realize that TRU propaganda only said “promotion”, but to release the single or even launcher less than a year afterwards is Mattels way of saying “F$%# YOU” to everyone who participated. Seriously. This is a big mistake on Mattels part. It totally screams “Ha Ha, screwed you over.” Is this seriously a good way to treat your BEST customers? People who love your product soo much they spend 5 or 6 times what a single car costs just to get a “special promotional” car. And then, less than a year later “anyone” can get one, without having to buy 5 or 6 cars, mail in all the crap, possibly deal with issues with the promotions department because something got lost or left out? Well, Mattel, you’ve done some seriously lousy things in the past, but this tops it. Not only have you screwed over your best customers, but in my case, I will NOT buy ANYTHING from TRU again. Is it their fault? No. But having the word SUCKER stamped on my forehead because I participated in a “specail promotion” from them constitutes a breach in good faith. And to support such business practices is something I cannot do. And Mattel, well maybe it really is time to sell my stock.

TJH, that gave me an interesting idea. For some reason, I could see Matty going along a line of people waiting for Cars (maybe with a sign like ‘Fast-Pass line for new ‘fun’ CARS), and using a rubber stamp with the word ‘sucker’ on it, placing it on everyone in line, while his big, fat head just keeps smiling happily.
Well, a year is a looong time to wait…..I, I mean some of the people on here cannot even wait a few weeks! I, I mean they, spend three times as much buying a car on ebay they could have for retail if they could wait a few weeks. So, asking a year is a lot……Plus you get the pretty protective case it comes in…… 😀

Yeah, I know they’re just toy cars. That’s the great part about them. My son and I love them. But… the issue isn’t with the concept or the production of the cars, it’s with Mattel in general. I’m sure most of those who read this blog don’t remember the decoder rings and other promotional items that I grew up with. From Cereal to soda, the object was buy a bunch, send in a bunch of box tops or soda caps and get something “SPECIAL”. How well would those promotions have worked if down the road any kid could just buy that promotional item? Not only would the product itself be wiped out by bad publicity, the company holding the promotion would be dragged through the mud by every news source around. The whole idea of making customers jump through hoops is that THE CUSTOMER feels special when they recieve that “promotional” item. Imagine Sports Illustrated or Nascar pulling this crap? I really find it interesting that we continue to ALLOW Mattel to do these things. And finally, WHY N20 Cola? Why NOT Sidewall Shine? Or better yet, why not Blue Ray LM? There’s NO difference. Hoops were jumped through to get them. TRU and Mattel did EVERYONE who collects Cars a disservice. And I stand by my belief; If this is how they want to treat their best customers, than I need to re-evaluate how I treat them.

Can someone tell me why Mood springs is two different shapes? One of them has the RPM shell and one of them has the Nitroade shell! Which one is comming out? Will there be two different ones?
The one that has the RPM shell is a prototype. The Nitroade style one is the real one.

Ok, so help me out here folks.. After all these launchers, and the K-Mart Day, by my count we are only left with Gask-Its, Tach-O-Mint, and Apple as well as Faux Wheel Drive in this country that have yet to be released..Have I left anyone out?
And is Vinyl Toupee listed for K-Mart Day 2?

Excellent, cannot wait to find this for the daughter. More exclusives going to Target irritates me though. NONE of the Targets in this part of Washington have put out any ROR release launchers to date. They’ve done away with the shelf space for the Haulers too. Ugh
Haven’t seen Case C or D yet. But if they are only showing up at Target, then that would explain it. My Targets are full of WOC launchers – Trunk Fresh, Octane Gain, etc..
Walmart has been getting plenty of Case B lately.
I’m so glad to hear that the Case C launchers have arrived. I’m waiting for my e-mail confirmations that mine have shipped. As far as the new Lightyear Launchers are concerned, I see myself buying only 4 of them – Clutch Aid, Lil’ Torquey Pistons, Rev’N Go, and Bumper Save.
I have yet to see D…I wonder if I will see any of these lol as just like someone else posted in the Area Shopping report, I have just seen Case B with Tank Coat and others. Oh well…only 6 months behind Macy’s! LOL!
Could this be one of the best days of my life?????? Birth of children, marriage, and now Case C! We have been waiting for what six months at least! Soon we will have 30 of the 36 racers! Woohoo!!!!
why would they release n2o cola as a launcher after it was a tru exclusive? is it because they have so many cars left over?
The flier for the promotion did not say anything about it being ‘exclusive.’ The flier only said ‘promotional.’
*yawn* Wake me when Sidewall Shine is re-released. That’s all I ask, so I can rub it in the faces of all those on eBay selling theres for $80+.
Sidewall Shine is on the list for the October Kmart CARS Day.

Haven’t seen these yet, but I did get a crazy surprise yesterday.
Went to one Target store, and found Shifty Drug and Tank Coat. And like anyone afraid to never complete his SOTS racers, I snatched them up as if they were gold-plated. I’ve never seen ROR-carded launchers at Target.
why is it the only launchers i ever see is chicks, king or some other character I already have?
