Walmart hasn’t much in the way of CARS in NorCal but I did find an unusual sign …
In other words, do not think of displaying these other than the assigned pegs … clearly the WM collective Borg have gone off their assigned sector … now, employees will randomly set up their own display area …
And of course, I hope you got the proper WM employee greeting …
I also went to check out Wondercon … the other comic show run by the SDCC people … recession? 10% unemployment in Cali? The place was packed! It was near SDCC like … though of course, nothing really exclusive but the Silk Spectre cosplay costumes all looked nice 🙂
CARS? The two main dealers were back from last year … prices holding steady … Haulers – $20-$25, singles $6 to $10, Sarge $35 …
Though of course, you could negotiate … and while I was standing there, there was plenty of CARS buying action.
Also plenty here – there were plenty of people selling CARS – most dealers with less than a case of CARS – all about the same prices, no real bargains (which also means the line is selling fine, I know you’re shocked 🙂 ) … though since Mattel hasn’t shipped much in the way of singles, 3-packs, etc in a few weeks, nothing really new and of course, most dealers won’t get their Elvis RV until next week …
While BOOM Studios, the CARS Comic Book publisher was there, the CARS comic book is not scheduled or out until late March so nothing at the show.

The walmart multi sku tag is for inventory purposes you know-it-all. You must have been at a walmart that was nearing inventory. It means each toy in that spot has to be scanned individually….. by the way new cars 2 and transformers hit my shelves next week if anyone cares.
I’ve never had much luck at my two wally worlds…..but in the last two weeks we’ve gotten 3 Leakless haulers, 4 Wally haulers, 3 Jerry recycled batteries haulers and 4 Octane Gain haulers…singles….3 impound Dj’s…2 impound wingo’s…5 HH murphy’…so many tank coat, vitoline and shity drug launchers we just push them aside to look for other things…But, we know it won’t last long….my kids are enjoying it until reality sets back in..
What do you do with so many haulers? Tryin to make your own endcap? =)
My Walmarts were like that for a while, now all we are getting is Case D, and they are clogging the shelves. Only Leroy seems to be selling. Target is the same way.

Anyone having any luck with the launchers – I have found no sign of them here in AZ – did they all just completely disappear or did I miss a post somewhere??

I just found these at a Newington Walmart in New Hampshire. This is the first I had seen of them.
Here in Belgium, I can only dream of a store like that. Mosts stores here have like 5 to 10 different models from the singles line, thrown together in a basket.
That Walmart Sign about Multi Sku’s… I believe this is an Inventory Process thing… Alerting the Inventory Service to scan everything individually.
We used something similar at some places I have worked when prepping for Inventory. When at CVS, the Inventory service would scan the 1st piece on the peg and count back. Anywhere we put a Multi Sku tag, the service would scan all pieces on the peg to capture different item numbers for similar looking product.
(MET: So, you mean the stores with 100 Al Oft’s might realize they have 100 Al Oft’s and 100 CARS? :-/ ).
Only if they prep well and the inventory service day workers… yup… day workers… are watched closely…

It may just be my two Wal-Marts but to me the staff really acts like they are doing you a favor to help you; besides NOT putting CARS out on the regualar DAY/TIME. as soon as they see me they stop and go the other way… When ask if there are any new cars or just Disney Cars in General… the reply is.. “I DON’T KNOW WHAT WE HAVE”

Two weekends ago, my wife and I walked into Walmart late on Saturday night to find something in the toy dept that we didn’t expect to see.
Laying amongst the cars that had been pulled off of the pegs and left on the shelf below, ONE Nitroade Pitty!
Looking at the pegs, it was obvious that a Case F had been put out earlier, probably during overnight restock, but Impound Wingo, the two Chucks, and the other Nitroade Pitty were long gone.
I need that Tow! Still never found him, not even on a WOC card!

I’m usually to busy ducking and dodging around old people to notice if anyone at walmart actually greets me. you know have to get to the cars section as fast as i can. 🙂
