Amazing detailing … for those quibble there’s too much “dirt” on the camper shell … yea, that’s the reason to pass up on this CAR … more for us 😆
This is the kind of detailing you’d find on 1/43 scale diecast selling for $39.99 …
Yo, it’s a work of art, modern art, urban art and simply too cool.
Not as flashy or as beloved as PIZZA PLANET TRUCK! (as Pixar film watchers will be shouting in the theater on May 29, 2009) but a perfect showcase for the line.
Mario Andretti’s assistant has no lines and is barely on screen for 2-seconds but gets the full on detailed to the gills treatment. A hundred details plus luminescence paint. Class & classy.
Presumably the Aston Martin Lagonda.
And of course, some farm equipment CAR, what’s his name again?
I hear some people are passing on him because they can’t use his combine blades as an actual shaver …
Guess you’ll just have to wait for the Gillette variant …

well this is fun, isn’t it?! the “farm equipment” ‘s name is Frank. i think people’s reasons for not buying the pizza planet truck & frank are just silly! like they’d put actual blades on a child’s toy!
Todd Piza Planet truck appears in each Pixar movie. Todd appears in the latest release (end of May) in the movie, “Up.” Todd is suppose to appear as the old man’s house ascends into the sky. Todd is at an intersection. Look for it! 🙂

Unfortunately Todd is a lot closer to the one that should have ended up on the reject pile. It is a great car, but a little heavy on the rust effect.
My WM stocked 2 of these cases sometime since yesterday and of course I was too late. The only stuff left was the Impound McQueens and the rest of the peg warmers. Also finally found the OS RPM Semi, Elvis all gone.
My Walmarts restock during the week typically between 10-11am. I took an early lunch today and stopped in. Boom Goes the Dynamite! They were just finishing up filling the pegs with Todd and Patti….probably 6 of each. But strangely enough…no Impound Mcqueen. Somebody bought all of the Impound Mcqueens but left the Todds and Pattis? I bought two of each. one set for me son and one set to trade for a new launcher(mood springs, fiber fuel, easy idle) or Frank. Any takers? email me at longsnapper52@gmail.com

I just revisited the pictures above — nice PhotoShopping, Justin!!!! When I first saw it, all I noticed was the “YO”, but the sign and Pizza Planet rocket on top are just awesome effects!!
What did I find when I stopped by our nearest,and most productive for CARS, Walmart?
Full pegs, with some overstocks on the shelf underneath the pegs……..what’s the big deal?
ONE OF THEM WAS PATTI !!!!! Which I grabbed.
Which means that someone made off with the Todds before I got there!
Or they’re still in the box on the pallet in the stockroom…
No, the toy dept. mgr was there, checked for back stock. Zero. You could tell that the pegs had been filled, then the extras thrown on the shelf below.
Great pics and can’t wait to find Frank as my son asks me all the time about when are we going to get Frank. Hopefully sometime this week although as I stated in another thread I just saw a restock of Case A today so not sure if I will see them any time soon.
ok, if they drink oil, what kind of pizza do they eat, and while on the subject, why is the van holding a matres on its roof, so cars eat pizza and sleep on a matres, even though we all seen lighning sleeping in his trailor and at sallies without one.
(MET: We drink oil also … who doesn’t eat pizza? And hey, who hasn’t stayed at a motel where the mattress might as well be a horse blanket … Leroy likes to carry his bed with him (as covered earlier in our post with screen shots).</strong>
Is this Frank the same as the Frank in the newish Tractor Tipping game? Or at least the same size? Met, can you do a side-by-side comparison?
(MET: I don’t have the new Tractor Tippin game but that one is definitely not in scale – this new one might not be 100% accurate but it’s close enough).
Almost the same size as the one in the new Tractor Tippin Game , but you can use your Hammer on this one ! 🙂
Back from the Tuesday circuit ride through Pierce County. WalMart in Pierce County was inundated with Todd’s and Patti’s. Every WalMart had at least four Todd’s and four Patti’s on the pegs. Are these peg warmers? Also found Impound McQueen without confetti which will go with my McQueen with confetti.
Note: The only difference I could detect between the first to market Impound McQueen and today’s McQueen is the bottom panel. The first issue has:

That simply means you were one of the first to get there and there were just 2 cases of each As Todd and Patti are 2 to each box and they were just getting to stores today. They will be gone before the day is thru and yes thousands will be looking for Todd. Here in Missoula Montana both Walmarts got in one case H. By tomorrow there will just be Mcqueens left. No Frank sightings in the wild yet.
True, all said with tongue in cheek. However, since I didn’t see these until after mid day, it was remarkable the eBayers had no pillaged the pegs yet.
ok…if i saw todd and frank on the shelf id definatly buy them, but, as im in the uk and thus inferior to the american buyer, mattel doesnt seem to give a damn,
ive only just seen chase impound MQ, so im guessing….16 more months til ill see Todd,
and ive yet to even see a mega sized/over sized vehicle,
come to think of it…i havnt seen small Al Oft yet…

I am guessing no two Todd’s will be alike since there is so much detail going into these. Or did Mattel take the time to make each dirt, scratch, rust exactly the same on each Todd?
(MET: Mostly all done by hand so always slight variances).
