Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: T Case, The Weirdest of Them All

As the toy years wind to a close – the CARS factory cases has gotten pretty weird, some great, some pretty good and some now we’re not quite sure what is accurate … (still investigating!) … but the T case is the weirdest of them all. I double checked, it is definitely the “T Case.” At first glance, it looks like what’s left in the warehouse after the shuffling of the past 5 cases … Francesco, Tow Truck Tom, Wingo with Flames, Lightning with Racing Wheels, Suki, Mater, Marlon Clutches and possibly one nice addition – Luigi & Guido with Glasses. Not too enticing to buy as a sealed case but decent enough for retailers – a variety of CARS to entice newbies … BUT then the list gets weird.

Lightning McQueen.

At first, I skipped right by it but then I remembered, was he even on the poster? Nope but he was scheduled in CASE L so okay, just another warehouse cleaning …

Hydraulic Ramone – wait a minute!

Fillmore with Headset? What list am I looking at?

Case T 2013?

(ERRORS FIXED – thanks!)

Not a single – Raoule Caroule (only as a 2-pack and box sets) … but then, the clincher? Timothy Twostroke AND N20 Cola.

DEFINITELY NOT scheduled for toy year 2013.

This is TOTALLY weird.

It’s definitely an official list from Mattel.

Well, it could mean nothing. It could simply be wrong.

It could be a 2014 CASE. The 2014 single card design essentially looks like the 2013. They changed the background to another racetrack scene and changed the logo to read WORLD OF CARS but of course, they always start with CASE A.

Is it some weird split case – half 2013 cards and half 2014? They’ve never done that before but that doesn’t mean they can’t start.

It does look like it could a CASE A for retail, two Lightning McQueen’s, Francesco, and a Mater … so, maybe they think it’s CASE T but it’s really CASE A? Er, not exactly a case to get anyone excited.

So, there you go. I could give you the case assortment but basically you can pretty much guess the common releases with 2 (Yes, 1 Timothy Twostroke). 3 LM with Racing Wheels though that’s actually ok now since there’s not a lot of these actually on the shelves. Since I doubt anyone wants a case, I decided to skip it.

I also cannot tell if it’s RT Luigi/Guido or the glasses 2 pack nor can I tell if it’s RT Mater or Mater but I’m guessing no one one is really holding their breath … so we’ll just wait and see until someone opens one up.

Your thoughts on what kind of critter this might be? It’s aaalllliiivvvvvvvvveeeeeee!!!!!!! Abomination! Kill it with fire!

Thanks, “HK6” for the heads up!
