Disney CARS Land: Cozy Cone Shop “Prop” Alarm Clock
The Cozy Cone Gift Shop at CARS Land has an Alarm Clock that is neither an Alarm nor a Clock. AND they are not even selling it! WEIRD!
“John H.” sends along nice photos of the new “Alarm Clock,” at the Cozy Cone Gift Shop at CARS Land. (UPDATE: I was confused – I thought they were for sale, they are just props/displays).
So, yes, door opens and the “Alarm Clock CAR” rolls out but that’s it. No alarm. No clock. ALARMING!
So, cute – but alarmingly not functional. Here’s the scene from the film – showing the clock and something call AM radio …
Doesn’t seem like it would take that much technology to add a clock & radio or at least fake it so you can plug your iPhone into the back (or of course, go bluetooth) … and the car rolls out with Lightning McQueen’s engine noise to wake you up.
Here’s the interior of the shop – they went a little cone crazy.
This does look like the perfect thing to put in the back yard to store my CARS collection … Where’s the sign that says ‘Slow for the Cone Zone.’
So, it’s very weird it’s a prop and not even for sale – they certainly went to a lot of trouble. I was wondering why John H. only took photos at the store, I just thought he was exhausted after a day at CARS Land. 🙂

I want that CAUTION CONE lamp that was supposed to be for sale at the new Animation Hotel at Disney World, but at Christmas time 2012, it was still un-available in their shop and the staff had no idea if they were going to get in any by this summer. Does Disneyland have a Parks Merchandise number like Disney World where you can call and order park stuff to be shipped???

Alarm Clock! Want it bad!

Met, my apologies, the clock is a prop and is NOT for sale. I said I would happily buy one if they would make them.
(MET: I do remember you saying it was not for sale and I thought you were telling to go buy my own and that one was yours 🙂 Now I understand. I’ll update).

I was also going to say these are just props and not for sale (even mentioned it on my 3-part Cars Land blog post during the fall of last year).
Though given there are plenty of people who loved that alarm clock, it is a wonder why such things wouldn’t be made and sold at the nearby Sarge’s Surplus Hut, or Lizzie’s shop.
Wow, that’s great! I’d rather have one of those than a functioning alarm clock LOL
