Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: Kmart CARS Day #8 – Last One?
Based on the Kmart CARS on cards available in the backdoor marketplace, the signs point to only 8 CARS in the 24-pack Kmart CARS case coming in June.
“John in MO” got the case assortment from a backdoor seller. It looks plausible.
The original listing implied all 11 racers plus the 2 regular CARS would be in the case of 24. It was hopeful thinking but it doesn’t look likely. That’s not to say it’s impossible but it seems unlikely. It does seem more in line with Mattel’s thinking to pack 4 of Francesco & 6 of LM versus 2 of each to fit in 11 CARS in a case of 24.
The listing indicating there’s a Fall 2012 Kmart CARS event is now missing so what does it mean?
This is the last one and we will not (NEVER) get the remaining 5 racers in silver/chrome/zamak/silver ransburg?
The CARS Event Day switches to another retailer?
There is a second case with the remaining 5 CARS (pretty unlikely but nothing is impossible).
The missing listing could simply reappear in a few months?

Im new to this and wanted to take my son so i called my 3 local kmarts today to make sure they would be doing this and every manager treated me like i was crazy and had no idea what i was talking about. Bummer! 🙁
(MET: Don’t worry, that’s nothing new – it usually takes until the few days before the rest of the store gets the info. So, I would try again around the 12th … and ask for the toy manager (if they have one).

This is nothing to worry about Met. There will be a KDay 9 no matter what unless Kmart as a chain completely shuts down. That’s my opinion.

It has never been in May. Always June and October.
hey john im talking about the online case pre=sale last year i bought them on may 17th, so that is why i was wondering if anyone knew when it was going to be again online. usually somone knows by now.

furrycritters05, I see what you meant now — I just lost track of the conversation.
Disappointed that the case is not more evenly distributed among the cars, but glad there’s two each of the Chases. (As I’ve noted in the forum, Celine is a Kmart exclusive without a sequential number like Hydraulic Ramone had, so we won’t be seeing her after Kmart Day’s release. Can’t speak 100% for Acer, but I believe he is an exclusive too. He has the same exclusive sticker but I can’t verify that there’s no number.)

Mattel wouldn’t start yet another product line and not finish it, would they?
Now that I’ve seen pictures of the carded Silver Racer Series Cars on eBay, I’m more likely to pick up a few… and with 2 of the Chase Cars and the Acer with Torch included, I may pick up a case on pre-sale… even though it has 6 McQueens…
Less than a month until Kmart 8… it’s looking now like that could be the next time we see new Cars in the US… and that’s not neat…
