    Neat!

    There was also a great photo of Earth as taken from space last week… It’s called the “Blue Marble” image of earth… it was taken from the VIIRS instrument on NASA’s most recently launched Earth observing satellite.

    In fact, your link (Earth from NASA FLICKR page) shows that same picture; I found it on the USAToday website.
