These are great and I too have the original series on VHS and the extended/enhanced version on DVD so I might as well go ahead and get these on Blu Ray.

I’m not a purist. I have had the BLU-RAY set pre-ordered on Amazon since January. I’d much prefer to watch a directors cut/expanded version than the theatrical release. We have scheduled an all-day viewing party for my 14 y.o daughter who has never seen any of the movies.

I actually own the 3-tape original VHS set and have never watched it,

Star Wars Rules! Luckily I don’t have a Blu Ray or HDTV yet, so I can spend $60-$80 on something else Friday instead of new DVDs. Maybe new Cars if I can find some?

I’d give anything to have back my Widescreen VHS copies of the unretouched 1977, 1980, and 1983 classics. This new box set will be almost unrecognizable with all the changes they’ve made, let alone the fact that they’re also including Crapisodes I, II, and III.

    Neat!
