Disney Pixar CARS 2: 35,000 Piece Lego Lightning McQueen
In case you were wondering how many pieces of Lego it takes to make yourself a full sized Lightning McQueen …
At Toy Fair 2011.
Thanks for the nice photos, “Big56Matt.”
Will they move it to Legoland? CARS Land?
These displays are really cool… while at Star Wars Celebration last summer, Lego was there (with numerous life size character pieces) working on completing the new life size Boba Fett… The staff finished assembling the helmet during the convention. I got to put in a few pieces and look at the graphic modeling program they use to create the pieces…
The buckets full of sorted bricks would make most lego kids cringe with delight!
Sweet! can u drive that thang!?!?!?
I’d humbly suggest the LEGO store in Downtown Disney adjacent to Disneyland and California Adventure.
Though they’d need to keep him inside or else he’ll start to fade.

to see a new LM talking
(MET: Covered HERE).
I want to touch it…. 🙂
WOW..!! 😯
I think I can make room for that in my garage… I’ll park my Civic outside… or my wife’s Accord…
That is so cool. I wonder how long it took them to make it?
I also wonder if it’s solid Lego’s, or is just the “shell” made of Lego’s?
It’s gotta be a shell — perhaps a thick one, but still a shell. If it were solid, the sheer weight of all those bricks would cause it to sag, settle and pull apart. Not to mention the cost!
Stig Jr. is gonna love it, though! I hope it goes on tour to malls with LEGO stores, and then to the Disney Village LEGO store in WDW for a while. But I bet it shows up for the opening of CARSland in CA next year!
NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New flames design looks a bit over-designed and new spoiler design is weak.
HA! It’s a talking CAR!
And where is the Bolt?
I love the new flames and spoiler. Cars 2 McQueen is hot!
It’s like peanut butter and jelly, 2 great things that go great together 🙂
Now THAT is what Lego’s are for!
I guess we should all be glad they don’t have lenticular legos?
