Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Next Toon Deluxe (Oversized)

The next Toon Deluxe CAR is … Music Video Mater.

It looks like the rest of the case is Frightening McMean, UFM Helicopter, UFM Hummer and Tokyo Mater with Oil Stain.

That leaves only El Materdor un-accounted for.

Two more I’ve been waiting for, M.V. Mater and Mater w/oil stains. Also keeping an eye open for Dinoco LM Signature Chase!

Have scored several new releases in Columbus Ohio this weekend. I-Screamer’s biggest fan at 1 Wal Mart, Lug/Nutty w/Oil Cans and Patokaa (3 each on the pegs) at another WM, Tabinu (2 on the pegs) at another WM, Lightyear Launchers (Night Skyline) Sputter Stop, Bumper Save, N2O Cola and Lightning McQueen at several WM stores; all case fresh – just arrived.

Nothing new at Target, think they are dropping inventory heading for a Spring reset.

Over-all, pretty good weekend – usually a Cars Ghost Town.

Awesome. This is one of the greatest looking Maters.

I really look forward to seeing that one – great looking car.
It is too bad that it was not part of HMM set…

I actually think that Mattel has done a good job on the assortments in the Mega Toons cases in the last 6 to 8 months. If you look at the case lists on Deluxe toons its been a nice mix. (much better than the Mega/Deluxe mainline cases)

I really can’t recall when I last purchased a Mega Toon at a Target. All the Chuys, I Screamers, Tormentors, McMeans, and Fans came from TRU.

So no loss for me. Best stock of Mega toons here are all at TRU or Walmart. Target hasn’t had a consistent restocking of toons here in a long time. so its not surprising they are dropping this line.

Target did carry the overpriced punching toons and there are still plenty of those on the pegs.

  • cac1959 says:

Wow… hopefully there are 2 of these in the case… but the rest of the assortment reminds me of the Mega Size cases with 2/3 Semis… No need to bother to ask if Mattel learns through past experience (mistakes), because obviously they don’t.

And I’m not surprised that Target is going NCF on the Deluxe Toons… they are as clueless as Mattel.

  • Carsaholic says:

Don’t know if this has been mentioned yet, but asked a Target employee why the Mega Toons were so thin, and was told they are discontinued. As of the reset in Toys in early February, the peg space for them goes away. Let’s go WallyWorld!

I found N20 Cola and Sputter Stop Lightyear Launchers at Walmart in southwest Indiana. Good news for plastic tire completists.

  • buckland-blowouts says:

Yeah!!! this is by far my most desired one of the whole heavy metal mater set up…!!!!!!! Hurray!

  • kdthomas says:

You mean Ito San isn’t the latest release? Hmm…

  • PDIDDY55 says:

Can’t wait for this one. Found Tabinu at TRU in Michigan! Not sure of the case contents but there were a couple Dex’s, Heavy Metal McQueen, Ref w/Bell and Eddie/Rocky

  • Chris with tray says:

Anyone know if they plan on releasing a single of plain ol’ Heavy Metal Mater?

  • BMW says:

Dr. Feel Bad is looking very scarce now. Only in that 3 pack and once as a single deluxe.

  • Christina says:

ahhh!! Zach is going to be so excited, he keeps asking for that one!!! 🙂

  • Jack says:

I like this release but only 1 new one in the case again? Just the latest example of Mattels pitiful distribution.
I feel like I am in an abusive relationship with Mattel. I loyally buy whatever they give us but they just take us for granted over and over again.

  • John in Missouri says:

    Neat!
