From yesterday’s news, the Crew Chief Pitty sets may not be making it to Target in the US but it’s starting to appear in Canada and with the int’l packaging – maybe Europe next?

This is old news. I found these 2 weeks ago in Vancouver, BC. Woot!
Cool glad to see Canada getting some love, but I really wish these were not so scarce here in the states. Maybe I can get some help from the northern folk.
Damn it! Mattel has the worst distribution system of all time… Man… I guess since it’s Disney, distribution sucks for the US. Look at BDs around the world.. US gets them last 🙁

Hopefully if these come back to America, PLEASE MATTEL, NO MORE LEAK LESS OR HTB! I think they shouldn’t be exclusive. That just raises the price. I want these sets. Also, are the sets with the hauler, racer, and pitty still going to be avalible? I want to see more than Dinoco, LL, and htB. Why did they come first? Come on, 3 pegwarmers in 1 box.
They are as i saw them on the shelf today at one location:
Dinoco, HTB, Leakless, and ? (can’t remember last one).
But they were 34.99 each………here outside Toronto.

I never found Octane Gain for almost the whole year! The Nitroade set looks awesome!
Also slightly unrelated: Can we still expect the new Teams (Hauler/Pitty/Car) to come out? A while back there was a post with pictures of the upcoming Easy Idle, N2O Cola, etc.
Unrelated: Just came home from Kohls, where about 15 Bessies were warming the recently expanded pegs.

I personally still believe these new crew chiefs will be out any day in the US. I think the NCF is because they aren’t making more after this.
This time last year is when the first ones were released and I think we are in for a replay. I wouldn’t panic just yet. Actually the NCF showing up may be a good thing. It may mean that Target is getting ready to ship the new ones out and updated the system information because of it.

That might be true – As every time I bought one – (3) – I was bothered by the teller tellin’ me they are not in the system yet – And only one was gracious enough to forgo the formality and simply run the SKU from the Octain Gain set…
I’d order these online if they would be available… I’d even buy cases since 2 of the 3 are new… I miss the days when online resellers could get decent products… Friends and I would split the cost and the cases for 3 packs, mega size (before the glut of semis ruined that line), and haulers.
Store exclusives are bad for the consumer/collector… Without competition, prices are high… Target gets the MTT 4 packs as an exclusive and the price jumps from $19.99 to $29.99 per 4 pack? You’ve gotta be kidding…
I may have to get a passport and schedule a trip out of the country to find my Cars…

Based on the Chief and Pitty sets being NCF (and can confirm the MTT 4 packs are NCF) I am so glad I got the Nitroade set from Canada. A nice Canadian friend offered to sell me one, and I jumped on it. Have doubts this case will show in USA stores ever now.
Targets website still shows all of the Team Crew Sets N20, bumper Save, Nitroade, Octane Gain, Easy Idle but out of stock, and has been showing out of stock since March. Why do they even show them on there. What a tease.
I have seen a picture of Team Nitroade Crew in packaging that does not have the Only at Target bullseye and its USA packaging. Target lost this exclusive hold maybe? Hope so.
Common ! Mattell will never distribute them in USA??… To the biggest market in the world??? at $20 each set we are talking millions of green money here… Naaaaaah… They will come one day or the other…. If they come out anywhere in the world they will end up in here too. I am confident. We all know distribution is like a gigantic spaghetti. You cannot see where one extremity of the noodle ends… but one thing for sure; they are all in the same dish.

It’s funny because yesterday there seemed to be a few panicked members responding to that post and near the bottom ‘5o’clock shadow’ remarks,”they will show up somewhere. they always do.” At the time I agreed and thought they will one day, just not this quick. Hopefully they will be around in great quantities near me… hopefully.
I have been saving room on my shelf for so long for these! Are they really $40.00 at Zellers in Canada? I can’t believe they won’t eventually end up here in the States. Nevertheless, on my next trip to Ontario, I will be checking out the Zellers.

Each case has 2 octane, 2 nitro, 1 dinoco and 1 chick hicks
I really need those ones.
If any of our friends to the north can get some of these I have some overseas friends that could use about 6 sets of each character
