“Rob(My5Kids)” was nice enough to snap some great pics of the Mater Tall Tales Unidentified Flying Mater playset … He found it at Kohl’s for $19.99 BOGO 50% off …
While the track does not look particularly canon, it does look like fun …
Keep in mind that the Mater, the UFO “Mator” and the Mothership are ALL PLASTIC in this playet.
UFO “Mator” (the UFO Dude) will get a singles release and I believe he will be diecast metal … the stand and oil cans are plastic, of course …
Cool accessories …
Though it does look like the Mothership “Mama Ship,” is massive and while not in 100% in scale, it’s unlikely we will get a release of the mothership so if you want it, this is the set …
I believe “Mariela P.” also mentioned seeing this set today at WM … so it does look like it’s hitting the shelves …
Speaking of WM, they seem to clearancing the original MTT playset …

Mator is already out as a single. I can’t believe it. They really are pushing on Toons. Hopefully I can get them before the sale ends next Saturday. Also, where are P.V. and the other haulers, and other Cars from the movie?
BOGO 50% off brings the average price to $15, the same as at WalMart which I posted about finding last week in the Area Shopping Report.
I guess the Mother ship would look nice in the far fetched Cars toons display section of a collection. I wouldn’t want UFOs floating over our Radiator Springs display though.
I bought the first several play sets in this line and there wasn’t much to them. I don’t think I will buy this one.
I would buy any of the other Radiator Springs structures like the Cozy cone or Sarges Surpus hut if they ever made them. I am considering making my own. I would love to add to

I think all these pegwarmers are killing the toons. I do want, howeve Mator and Lug & Nutty with oil cans for the cans. When will those come out? Also, are Mator’s cans seperatable?

cool playsets but our walmart has never had any of them so I doubt they’ll do this one either.
Hmmm … I will have to see if this will turn up in my area. Most of the other playsets have been pretty cool for display. I hope this one is too … but why can we not FINISH Tokyo Mater and El Materdor first??? BRING ON THE SINGLES!!!! 😀

Unfortunately, all the cars stuff sucks crap now, and they have clearly abandoned the final lap. I hope you all remember this when Cars 2 comes out…

Doesn’t this Fred look like the Chase version w/ the dropped lower lip? So how exactly is the Chase version Chase if it’s in this 3 pack? Just Mattel messing-up again?
This one looks the same with all the teeth, but there are no bumper stickers anywhere on him.
