Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Flo’s V8 Cafe & Other TRU Shopping

Well, if I spotted these at TRU, then they must be everywhere now …

(Not online though)

Since the sale on the haulers seems to run until the end of August and just before the Labor Day reset … that’s when we might see Paul Valdez … guess it’s an easy summer for long haul truckin’.

So is anyone holding out for a better deal? If it’s $1.98, will you scoop them all up? Will someone be paying $25 for one in 2013? Will we just politely shake our heads or will we be mean?

And a good sale TODAY ONLY LEFT on GeoTrax …

(Check out our post and links on CARS GeoTrax).

I see a TRU exclusive package of Brand New Mater on the first picture. Has that been featured here on T5AD?

  • BMW says:

TRU on line sale Sarge’s Boot Camp for 14.98. Free shipping with 49.00 purchase.
In store sale of 20@ off. I got one in store and used 5 dollar off coupon for final price with tax of 16.83. TRU shipping is iffy in they don’t always take care in packing, sometimes comes damaged, but not always. So I bought in store, as I don’t trust their shipping clerks.

For $14.98, I might just have to pick one up. This is my favorite scene from the movie (“Aw, man, now I got DIRT in my rims!”), but I couldn’t justify even the “sale” price of $25 the last time I went to TRU.

    • Stig McQueen says:

Wish I could get out to TRU today, but the only one near me is between my house and the beach, and everyone is heading home from their long weekend. Getting there today would be a snap, but getting home could take hours of idling amidst a sea of RVs and boat trailers…

  • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

My local Big Lots store has trailers stacked up at $10 each, including many Mood Springs. Wasn’t that difficult to find not too long ago?

  • Eric says:

I am going to give TRU a little credit here, as they don’t always warrant it in my book, but here goes…

They were the first in our area to get the Chase Fillmore cases, they have the exclusive V8 packs, they are giving away the Tokyo Mater carrying cases with all 25 dollar car purchases, and now they have a couple more items unseen elsewhere yet (at least here) – the new tuner color changers and a 1/24th scale monster truck mcqueen. Maybe the wrestling set will be on shelves soon? Good job TRU, now just keep it up…

[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us ‘0 which is not a hashcash value.

  • NascarFan says:

Maybe it the return of the Hong Kong Couple?

Good to know my TRU stores are not the only ones with 8 pegs of Guido 2-packs. Wonder who screwed up that order at Corporate. V-8 packs…yeah, those are pretty common just like the Boot Camps still are. They are priced in the collector-only range. I still see the same 3 Mater The Greater packs from last year sitting on the shelf for the same reason. On Friday there was a man looking over the V-8 pack and made the comment, “I sure want Hank, but not the rest of them.” So who knows…Final Lap?

Speaking of haulers…they skipped Shiney Wax and we haven’t forgotten…I wanna see him just as much as Paul V. Hopefully they’ve moved on from Mac, King, and Chick and will do a case assortment like (2) Vinyl T., (2) Shiney Wax, (1) Paul V. – That would get everyone caught up with Vinyl and Shiney and not leave a lot of Paul on the shelf like they did with Gill. I should work for Mattel distro. 🙂

  • Piston Car Hunter says:

They were giving away cars cases with a $25 cars purchase a week ago or so

  • John in Missouri says:

Is this Take5’s first Chinese spam?!? 😆

  • Kevin W says:

Maybe a trip to TRU is in order for today!
