The countdown has begun …
The kickoff to the June 12, 2010 Kmart CARS Day Event starts tomorrow at 10:00 AM Central time with the opening bell of the online case pre-sale.
We also welcome back Kmart.com as an advertiser so be sure and click on either this banner above or the official ad on the right to be whisked away to a magical land where CARS are sealed and held just for you.
(okay, you do have to pay for it – it’s magical, not paradise) 🙂
Since this offering is only available to the US … (sorry), here are the times in which the status of the order page will change from COMING SOON to BUY.

10:00 AM Central
9:00 AM Mountain
8:00 AM Pacific
The sealed case contents of the 24 CARS are:
The 3 column indicating there are 3 in each case of that car, the “2” indicating … etc, etc – totaling 24 CARS. $3.99 each or $95.76 for the case not including shipping or taxes.
For those unfamiliar, these are the FIRST and presumably ONLY time these Piston Cup racers are-will be available with (synthetic) rubber tires – certainly on single cards with this particular design motif. The last two Kmart CARS Event Days also featured exclusive Piston Cup racers with rubber tires.
(The “1” CARS are lenticular – not shown as lenticulars).
It does appear there is a Kmart Coupon for $5 off a $50 purchase (code) KMART5OFF50
These will NOT ship until after June 12, 2010 when the in-store event is held.
As noted, your credit card will not be charged until they are ready to ship.
For those who not wish to purchase an entire case, the individual CARS will be available at the Kmart CARS Day Event in stores on June 12, 2010.
For those who have not been to an event – more details will follow but on June 12, 2010 – they will be available in store at 11:00 AM. Stores will receive 4-16 of the same cases of 24 (or anywhere from 96+ CARS to pick from). In most stores there will be people lined up but it’s NOT first come, first serve – it’s a numbered draw so you can show at 10:59 AM to draw a numbered called first or be there at 8:00 AM and draw a number way down the line. When you are picked – you are allowed to select 5 CARS and so forth – again, more details to follow before June 12, 2010 – don’t worry if you haven’t done it before.

I am lucky to have 2 Kmarts in town and have always got everything we wanted. The last event I even went to the other Kmart and they had tons and tons of the cars in baskets for you to chose from. It is like no one ever goes there. They still to this day have some hanging on the pegs. =)

I was able to place 2 orders for 1 case each using the KMART5OFF50 code to save $5 per case… Had it been live at 11 am eastern time, I’d have probably ordered a second case for myself… as it is, I’ll take my chances at the event on the 12th…

I made a mistake when I looked at his email, It was time stamped 3:08 in my inbox, but I received it at 2:08 CDT. Maybe he is on eastern time.

Definitely skipping the pre-order this time around. I have always been able to get everything I need at the event, plus nothing very interesting in this case, so I am not worried. High hopes for KMart day 6.
It would also appear that Kmart is skipping the preorder this time around as well. 😆

I can garantee you that if you call them the customer service person won’t know a thing about what you refering to or tell you that they’re sold out.
In my live chat, I asked if she could get in touch with Dev, but she had no idea who that is, as they have Call Centers all over the U.S.

I’m among the confused – is Transberry Juice the ONLY new to market car here, or am I missing something?
I guess my family is in the minority. My daughter opens and plays with the cars and doesn’t want the same car over and over (lenticular, rubber, etc).
Transberry Juice is not even new… he was released on Kmart Day #1 (plastic tires)
However the Dale Jr with the different face, rubber tires is “sorta new”
Hate to throw this out there, but is there any chance they’ll have some cases from last year thrown in? The description looks similar to last year’s…
“This 24 pack of cars comes bundled direct from the factory and includes 19 cars with Real Rubber Tires. The cases are randomly assorted with our Kmart Exclusive vehicles (7 in this release), 2 New to Market Cars and other high demand vehicles are mixed in.”

Yea we noted that to Kmart people, I think it will change when it goes live, however I have resent the email that the description is slightly off and is from Kmart Day #3, so is the banner artwork too

Thanks for the info. It’s weird, I’ve tried multiple computers here at work, and Kmart.com loads in rows as opposed to the neat layout. It will make it slightly more difficult to place the order if I can’t get it to load right!
Appears to be limited to here at work for me; my wife was able to load it fine from home too.

I’ll be ordering a few extra cases if anyone needs them who can’t order them.
Same as last events – Exact cost + exact shipping + paypal(no paypal if sent as gift).
After shipping costs, taxes, and coupon, each case should run around $98. I believe the cases from the last event I shipped out weighed 5lbs packed inside another padded box, and just under 4 lbs shipped in its own case. I really like the $2/case donation idea, and will also do the same (my cost, not yours).

Anything is possible with Mattel. Remember Mattel told us on the package that Van had stickers. They must be there somewhere!

So if collecting Cars vehicles creates feelings in you that you yourself don’t understand, then keep an eye on our countdown clock and get to Kmart on June 12th!

No crowding really, I was doing online twitter and tfad posts and photos.
I had no problem getting our case and loose ones later. It was alot of fun
