Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: The Concurrent Chase Thrice

These are trey (mostly) at Walmart stores.

Bling Open Photo HERE.

Of course, Hydraulic Ramone was always very nice so the addition of a ‘Metallic Finish’ does not amount to much.

Metallic Finish Ramone is slightly shinier … what’s slightly? 5%? So nice but it’s like both are 4 scoop ice cream Sundaes – one has three cherries on top and one has five so nice – kind of hard to go wrong … or for the glass half emptiers … kind of a one glass half empty and the other 48% empty …

Nice & Nice II.

They are not hard to find at the Walmart’s that have received the new shipper … and some people are beginning to find CASE J which was early shipped to WM … in additional to LENTICULAR Jay Limo, Vern and Antonio, you will find LENTICULAR CHASE King with Metallic Finish …

So load up on CHASE … and …

Hydraulic Ramone dosn’t look vary hydraulic sitting on all fours, don’t fans deserve better? how many repeats do we have to look at?

  • babychristianscars says:

Got Jay, Vern and Antonio today along with hydraulic ramone of course wiggly eyes but still SWEET.

  • jdbell96 says:

I was in Walmart in Apple Valley, MN tonight and picked up up Jay Lino, Vern, and Chase Metalic King very nice.

  • applefinatic says:

Funny story i found cars sold at a gas station in Texas how wierd!!

  • JediJones says:

Found the J case on a pallet at my local Pennsylvania Walmart tonight. Pretty good luck since I have had bad luck with chases lately, not finding Bling Bling McQueen and Chase Ramone until last week. The case had just 1 King, 3 Jay Limo, 3 Vern, a couple Antonio and the usual repacks.

  • Rob says:

I found a bunch of Chase Ramone at Aldi grocery store in Illinois. They have a sale of Cars on display. Had a bunch of Sarge with gas can too.

    • Man-I-Fold says:

Thanks for the tip, Rob! Was Sarge lenticular-eyed (sounds like a disease)?

      • Rob says:

Honestly I can’t remember because we already have him so I really wasn’t looking to check it out. I hunt for my 2 1/2 year old. I may go back to them to get the Ramones (not the band) even though we have that one as well. He doesn’t care what they look like, just wants them open.

I did see at one Aldi they had Sally and she was lenticular. She was a bit weird though, because the “eyebrows” if you will were a dark blue while the car was the normal color.

Not sure how long the sale goes for. Display varies in store. Most are in the middle where they have all their stuff, one had it by the register. Look for a big cardboard point of sale display.

  • I wish Chase Ransburg The King wasn’t lenticular.

    • Mariela says:

Me too…all the other Ransburgs are non lenticular! And I don’t know why in the picture his eyes are painted..?!

      • Carlos says:

Alvin McQueen and Mariela, I wish the same too. Yes, all other chase Ransburgs weren’t lenticular either. That stinks, and that car was the one i really wanted. One small light at the end of the tunnel, though. In one post MET said we may get him Final Lap, but don’t get hopes up too high. Still, keep your fingers crossed.

  • 5oclockshadow says:

    I am torn on these….

I really would like to complete my Chase cars ………. but I don’t want to buy any lenticular Cars …..

I have already passed up a handful of Bling Bling McQueens, but I may not be able to resist a Ransburg King….

I think this is a dirty trick to bring more people over to the lenticular dark side..

    D*** you Mattel!

    • aj says:

mattel is good at flooding the market, they did the same thing to Star Wars collecting, just when you think you have a rare collection they re-release it 5 more times again, really, how many different versions of Luke and Han do we need??

(MET: Starwars Kenner & Hasbro …).

  • Monica says:

Mmmmmm, Rans King, so beautiful. Can hardly wait.

  • Jake C says:

im in England so we dont really get much new stuff like Cars toons or nothing and we dont have any walmarts so it will probably be a long time before we get these

    • Murpheeie says:

ASDA is Walmart and Chase Ramone and Bling Bling have been in ASDA for weeks. Tesco has all the new toons I had Ito San a week before he was mentioned on here. You just have to keep checking the toy sections and you will find them.

  • carscrazydd says:

The most noticable quality of the metallic finish Chase version, I think, is the almost perfectly smooth appearance of the paint on the cars. Compare any one of the metallic finish chase cars against the original version side by side and let light reflect at an angle off the car while looking across any top body panel of both. There-in lies the biggest difference, the metallic finish has almost no orange peel effect and way less im-perfections than the original finish, providing a much more illustrious appearance.

Definitely agree with you Met, the Chase version is indeed entitled to receive two extra cherries on the 4 scoop ice cream Sundae.

The metallic paint finish of these Cars has to make Ramone proud, and the best part, no extra charge.

Disney/Pixar/Mattel could have easily justified raising the price on these and I would have gladly handed over the extra money.

I visited all the Wal Mart stores this morning during re-stock. Case J hasn’t appeared here in Central Ohio yet, but you all knew I was going to throw that in here, commenting only because I’m startin’ to feel like our neighbors to the North, Canada (among others) in that Central Ohio is a remote location on Earth and the Wally haulers can’t find us! Collect ’em all and happy hunting!

  • John in Missouri says:

From what I can tell, the most interesting stuff is:

    3 Vern
    3 Jay Limo
    2 Antonio Veloce Eccellente
    2 Pit Crew Member Sarge
2 Doc Hudson (each says “The King”)
1 The King with Metallic Finish

  • penquintom says:

As close as I can tell the local TRG’s in my area have stocked at least 3 Final E cases since Friday last. Also stocked has been night len Antonio Veloce Eccellente. Fresno/Clovis area CA. Maybe there’s hope for us all.

  • michele says:

AAAAHH!!!! I can’t keep up. I haven’t gotten any of these and am still behind on the final laps and the toons!!! First none, then too many at once.

  • cars-in-your-eyes says:

Found a Chase Bling Bling at ASDA last night, except someone had broken him open to steal just the PIston cup! Don’t they realise it’s just an empty cup?

  • cars-in-your-eyes says:

Chase Ramone – It’s the eyes that adds 10 cherries!!

  • clasp99 says:

The other day I found 5 of each chase bling bling and Ramone in ONE walmart. I found a set in each of 5 locations. 1 set in an aisle and the rest in 4 differet end cap side hangers (Or what ever those things are called).

  • Laurence says:

Nice picture of King – once I find him I’ll be current again on stuff available through Walmart, can’t say that for Target – they have fallen behind down here in Houston…

    • Piston Car Hunter says:

Another TFAD member reported seeing Final Lap E yesterday at Super Targets in Houston. You could check if there are any left.

    • bmc says:

Most definitely………they have dropped the ball!!!!!

      • carscrazydd says:

Every Cars collector tall to short obviously wishes to be able to collect all the new character releases, as well as maybe pick up some classics to replace ones that have been chipped beyond recognition or have axle trouble, and perhaps the most important reason you can get them with fixed eyes which is how we all started collecting in the World of Cars.

It doesn’t seem that there is any good reason for aggravating your Cars collector fans and not ordering in the Cars that you know you have as an exclusive release, that’s just rude.

I would like to think that Target would want to keep the Cars customers happy along with the rest of their customers.

  • Piston Car Hunter says:

I’ve seen the chase Ramone at Target too.

  • Scott Miller says:

    Collect Them All!

  • Kevin W says:

So, where did you find a non-lenticular Ransburg King?

    (MET: Proto photo …).
