Here is a snapshot of “Frank’s” mystery Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater …
The big mystery – it only has one back axle wheel while all other Mater’s have TWO wheels.
“BMW” wants to know what yours looks like?
This is the “normal” Rollin’ Bowling Mater.
This is mine from a Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater game – I also have an unopened BJ Warehouse Set and while un-open, it does look like it has two wheels.
BTW, the base of the Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater is black so the turned over RB Mater has the correct base but it simply looks like it is an error in production.
On all Mater’s – the front wheel hubs-rims are raised and convex while the rear rims-hubs are not …
In the case of the one-back wheel Mater, it looks like the installer simply installed the front rims on the front AND the back and since it rolled, he called it a day. A simple production error is what it looks like to me … but maybe there are others floating around out there – anyone else with an error RB Mater?

error…. two front axles… maybe valuable to someone who collects errors…. but the majority of collectors won’t lose sleep by not owning this one… in fact, I would be disappointed if my Character Pack had that one in it instead of the regular version…
maybe they were seein what a ‘Railroad Mater’ would look like 🙂

mine is the normal 2 wheels as well & from the RB set
Frank who owns this error RB Mater tells me it came not from the game but from the BJ Warehouse set, same set that Met has unopened.
Since no one else so far seems to have one, this single rear wheel RB Mater (with two front axles) appears to be an error and may be very rare.
I was wondering if maybe Frank’s came from the 6-Car character packs that were released long, long ago.
Or is that the same thing as BJ’s Warehouse set?

I don’t have one, but curious as to what the going price on these are. Also what is the number of these out there floating around?
(MET: Prices aren’t low but production on these were not particular low – though in the first year, I think most parents bought them as part of the game where kids smashed them up – so the MINT in box ones are in lower quantity).

It’s 2 front wheel/tire assemblies place on the rear axle, nothing more than an assembly line error.
That’s what you get when you pay your workers 5 cents/hour to install wheels 😛
Mine is correct, I bought it at KB toys 3 years ago.
Mine is the correct version. I bought it at a KB liquidation store several years ago.
Just checked mine ad it’s got two wheels on each side of the rear axle.
I found one at KB toys which has the correct rear wheels. Looks like it is simply an error.
