The new 1:24 scale Mater with “rubber tires” is now available on MattyCollector.com.
And if you want to compare it to the 2006 version – photos courtesy of ‘Nikko,’ in his yard with Mater 2006.
It’s subtle but it is different …
The new 2009 paint scheme and the back tire rims are definitely more detailed and accurate.
And the bottom production stamp is important if you are collecting one or both …

Wouldn’t it be awesome (never mind expensive) if they released all the racers in 1:24 format?
a 1:24 scale Speedway of the South set …. complete with its own room to store it in. 🙂
