Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Lenticular 3-Packs Land in Europe
Bored with your multitudes of Antonio or Dexter Hoover with Checkered Flag? Time for the Lenticular versions – arriving in Europe.
And going by the back artwork, we can guess that this will be the US CASE A lenticular 3-packs.
And what else is coming?
First, the returning favorites …
* When I did this chart, Dexter Hoover (Checkered Flag), Damaged King & LM was supposed to be released as a three-pack and still might be in the Night Skyline motif?
And some new 3-packs … most are actually pretty interesting and in some essence, the new “Movie Moments” as the configs are clearly inspired by a scene from the film, CARS …

Will regular 3-packs continue at Target only? Maybe but it might be like Movie Moments, where there are only “re-releases” in an updated packaging look? So, every config out already will just be re-released in the Night Skyline motif? Since, all the 3-packs CARS that were scheduled to be released are pretty much all listed as singles in the Final Lap collection, it won’t matter very much other than packaging …
When will lenticular 3-packs arrive in the US? It seems more likely post Christmas as the US falls under the Final Lap one month before lenticulars rule.
But hey, collect them all. We dog years dare you … wait, is that right?

In my opinion, Mattel’s making a mistake getting rid of the non-lenticular 3 packs. I like the packaging, but, its lenticular. So I’ll wait for the non-googly eyed cars.

Where in Europe did these packages show up? For sure not in Germany as we are more behing the moon with cars than Canada.
Awesome. I hope walmart will carry the 3 packs. Been holding out on buying more single lenticulars to just get the 3 packs and save money.
Can’t wait to get these! I like Lenticulars, because in the movie, the cars eyes are always blinking or moving. I really don’t understand why people call them “googly eyed”? Googly refers to over sized eyes or a blank stare. Don’t the cars with painted on eyes have a blank stare? 🙂
Because it’s an idiotic looking gimmick that takes away from what is normally a very nice quality car.
And that makes them googly eyed how?
I believe googly eyed refers more to the look that Bob Eckert will have on his face when he sees the year end stock value report.
Then again, I’m just a consumer who see’s a whole lot of shifty eye’s staring back at me rather than going home in shopping carts.
It’s still an enjoyable toy line, despite a piss poor design change. Since the nearest Target to me is 2 hours away, it’s those or nothing.

I will actually buy a few of those googly eyed 3 packs as opposed to sitting around and waiting to see if any of my “nearby” Targets ever put new Final Lap cars out.

the 3 packs with regular eyes will be Target exclusives?
Singles regular eyes Final Lap first at Target, then in 3 packs? I like the three packs but they take a lot of room to collect.
(MET: That’s the big question. The listing seems to indicate they are lenticular but since the singles manufacturing run seems low for Final Lap singles and basically everything listed as coming in a 3-pack is coming out as a Final Lap single, it would see logical they will put them in a box – not much work there and sell them at Target … so if I had to bet money, I would say we’re going to get both in regular and extra eyes flavors 🙂 ).
Any way that these will be released “non googly eyed”???

WELL!! im super excited NEW three packs are coming!! i wish that the unreleased cars would have come out in regular eyes mode first 🙂 oh well im still getting them lol
