I told my son this morning that is was “Talk Like a Pirate Day”. So, him being the normal 4 yr old that he is asks me why. I tell him it’s to be silly and he says he doesn’t want to talk like a pirate. About 30 seconds later he comes up from behind and whispers “ARRR” in my ear. Then walks away laughing asking me if he is silly!

For some crazy reason, another teacher at my school yesterday told me about National Talk Like a Pirate Day – as one WOOD imagine, I immediately laughed and thought of PD. I thought she was kidding – guess KNOT!
Apparently, it’s celebrated by the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (or Pastafarianism). I remember coming across this when I was on Wikipedia.
