TRU is having a birthday sale … Starting Sunday …
And of course, the Mattel CARS portion of the ad is confusing … it says ALL CARS but only the price and photo shows the Megasize CARS … (for instance, the Thomas the Train ad lists the price range of $11.99 to $29.99) so … ALL just the megasize? Let us know how your negotiations with the manager goes 🙂

FYI, the sale is indeed only CARS Mega Size on sale, but it does include the CARS Toon Mega Size. The price is now $6.99 each, so you can get three for under $15.00.

the last time they did this the website was showing the sale about 8 pm Saturday and it was everything cars on sale.
Off topic but it would seem there are no Halloween Cars this year, correct? I was at Target yesterday and they had the seasonal stuff all out and no places for any Cars. It was a sad day.
(MET: No Halloween CARS but maybe the 5 Christmas CARS & Box Set will make up for it 🙂 ).

Having worked in Retail management for a long time before retiring to the stay at home daddy, I can tell you that the ad should hold up…
Clearly read as All Disney Pixar Cars Oversized Vehicles at Six Dollars and ninety nine cents are Buy Two get one free…
Managers will be under no obligation to give the offer on any other Cars item, including the Mater Toons as they are a buck more. However, sometimes when I was at TRU they had a similar situation and would have the Mater Toons on sale for 6.99 so it would qualify… so who knows…
They may do it for you, but my advice… “You have to ask me nicely…” **movie reference??**
In all my time as a manager for a couple of different retail stores (TRU, CVS, PetSmart) it was the people who were nice that got the exceptions… show me any lip or get loud and demanding and I stand firmly behind company policies and procedures… and you got nothin’

Right now Fred Meyer is running a buy 2 get 1 free promotion on all die cast with the exception of the $1 Hot Wheels. That includes haulers, mega, Tonka, etc. And this week one store did have Arson Engine Mater and company! 🙂
I can guarantee my TRU will put nothing new Cars related out until the week after the sale. Always happens, never fails. Well, at least they are consistent with that!
They’ve run the Movie Moments on sale 2 or 3 times in the last 6 months, with NOTHING new on the pegs for the same period of time.
This is TRU is our area….one store has had the RSM 4 packs, the Megas, and the Singles…..another store, not even 30 miles away, has only had the RSM Mega Size. Their computer shows an order in is the system for the Singles, but no expected shipping date for the next 10 days. There’s just no “system” to TRU’s “system”.
Oh, and one of the managers at the second store, that hasn’t had anything except the RSM Megas, said that their store is TWO to THREE TRUCKS BEHIND the other stores in the area!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked one of the floor staff at my local TRU about when the next shipment of Cars would be coming in. (There is never anything good at this TRU ever, just pegwarmers). She said she had no idea, trucks come daily with all sorts of stock, but she was ‘waiting on it because I am a big fan and collector too.” Great, cross that store of the list as ever having good stock.
