Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Overspray McQueen – The Red You Don’t Want

While we actually covered this way, way, way back in November 2008, since they are still popping up and confusing people, it’s time to get the red out.

For some reason no one noticed that Radiator Springs & Cruisin’ McQueen after getting their Ransburg sprayΒ  – instead moving on the assembly line to a far, far better place – for some oddball reason after getting their water decals, they returned to the spraying area – getting all misty and red.

Since Cruisin’ and Radiator returned in the last couple boxes, it has been more noticeable as there are more on the shelves. Is it an error variant, technically yes – as they seem to be available all over but does it mean anyone is really collecting them? Here is he compared to a regular Cruisin’ …

I’m not sure if these are from the same batch made in late 2008 or the factory is still not caring … Michele in CT sends us the the latest one on the shelf – just as red …

So, error variant yes but that does not mean you need to add it to your collection – not a significant variant … though of course, you are free to collect it. πŸ™‚
