Mattel Disney Planes Fire & Rescue: Mattel Mayday Is Nice But …

On the surface, Mattel’s version of Mayday is nice … Lots of fun details. Good realism of a working truck. Fun “dirty” looking. Unlike the Disney Store one, no dented front fender. Unless it’s an important plot point, it seems to be a minor thing. But the front grill does seem pretty weak. A little […]

Disney Planes Fire & Rescue: Disney Store Ryker – Not Quite Quenching

Who doesn’t love the airport fire vehicle (from Rosenbauer?) Going by the screenshot, clearly he should be much bigger than Mayday … So as great as the Disney Store Mayday in his detailing and heavyweight metal, he is clearly oversized. DS Ryker might be a better fit with Mattel’s Mayday?   Ryker looks great next […]

“Mack Me Bucko” & “John H.” sends along great pics of Disney Store’s Mayday. Nice looking scaled to Mattel’s Lightning McQueen. Disney Store Chug. Sweet looking details. Appropriately “used.” Just looks right. The Disney Store one has a fun bumper detail. Sized next to DS Ryker & Mattel Red. Nice! Thanks for the great pics, […]

Mattel Disney Planes Fire & Rescue: Deluxe Windlifter

Mattel’s Planes Fire & Rescue Deluxe Windlifter is super nice. Great detailing. Windlifter is more complicated where it’s diecast metal and where it’s plastic. His face and the top half of the back tail area are diecast metal – there are plastic portions in and out within – in either case, it’s not a huge […]

Thanks for the great pics “John H.” The Disney Store Ryker is extra nice with the moving nozzle. John notes you might want to be a little careful – kids might snap this sucker off … 🙂 Plus (synthetic) rubber tires! Nice details. Solid diecast metal. Comparison with Disney Store Red.   Nice! Size & […]

“John H.” sends us a nice preview of Disney Store’s “Dipper.” Dipper looks a little small but we won’t know for certain until the movie comes out. She is heayweight diecast metal. I think these are hydrofoils?  They are actually taped on. A little odd – presumably these are plastic? Looks nice – here’s Pontoon […]

Disney Planes Fire & Rescue: Deluxe Aircraft on the Shipping Pad

The Disney Store has made their Deluxe Planes/Vehicles available to order & ship. The Mattel Deluxe are nice and larger than ever (though not out yet). And I’m presuming the dimensions in the listing on the Disney Store site is a mistake since these are $19.95. These are presumably bulkier than the Mattel but not […]

The Disney Store has begun the switchover to Planes Fire & Rescue. There is only one toy item, the figure set (not diecasts) along with some clothing items. Thanks for the heads up “ToyFountain.”

These are the “sounds” versions of the Smoke Jumper Pitty’s – the diecast ones will probably be smaller and less detailed. It’s hard to tell size with these but probably like the larger scale pullbacks for younger kids … That’s Drip, & Blackout on the top row and Avalanche on the bottom row.
