Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: 2021 Single Case DXV29- 95AE

The are just cranking them out … more singles! 2021 Single Case DXV29- 95AE

A NEW Sputter Stop Tracing Tractor & the CARS 1 Lightning McQueen with a Piston Cup … yes, the Piston Cup seems to have a rose gold tint so slightly different from any previous release.

First release with the eyelid line, CARS 3 Jimmy cables, CARS 2 Bob Pulley, CARS 1 Andrea and a variant tampo decal Green Ramone (in addition to the eyelid line).

A re-release but a nice one, Hot Rod Junior Moon.

Along with these hard to find re-releases …

Slightly more common re-releases but still nice to see more on the pegs …

The common re-releases – weird that we keep getting Tex Dinoco but okay …

With case F coming soon (already out in Australia) that leaves only 7 remaining cars to be released to complete the 2021 poster. We are not in April yet !!! That is pretty impressive!

    Hot Rod Louise Nash
    Maddy McGear
    View Zeen Racing Tractor
    Lightning McQueen with cone
Muddy Rusteze Racing Center Lightning McQueen
    Pam WheelDarrow
    Dash Boardman

    (MET: Nice!)

Just to let y’all know, I saw every one of these on the pegs at a Walmart in Rochester, MN. I was so excited to FINALLY see something new out in the wild!

Met is exactly right-the Piston Cup trophy is definitely a rose gold.

I only got three after some deliberation. But they were ones I was truly happy to have. Yay!

Nice! There are 3-4 in this case that I really want, and 1-3 that I’d like to have. I think that finding CARS out in the “wild” is all about being in the right place at the right time!

That is so true! I’m certain that they were put out probably just an hour or two before I got there. Learning to have perspective on this helps make looking for them fun verses a frustration. They are only toys, after all. Instead of feeling unhappy when I don’t find anything, I’m excited when I do. Which has taken me a long time to get to that point. And sometimes I still am frustrated, but at least I am only looking when I am already out and about, instead of making trips specifically to do so.

You’re in my neck of the woods! Northern metro area, but close enough!

We were there for a quick work trip, we are from southeastern Wisconsin. What a beautiful area you live in!

There’s a Mattel factory outlet in Madison, ever been there? I am curious about the kind of inventory they keep.

          • Real Gone says:

No, I didn’t know it was there, glad you mentioned it. We did have one here at Wilmot, WI which was open for a few years but unfortunately closed within the last year or so possibly due to the pandemic I suppose.

I did go to that location in Wilmot a few times. They did have a nice selection of quite a few different lines of toys and a lot of Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars. I believe they had a lot of Barbie, some wrestling action figures, and quite a bit of toddler/little kid toys too. I hadn’t gotten back into collecting Cars then but I don’t remember seeing any there, I’m sure they would’ve caught my eye if they had been on display by the other cars.

The next time I’m near Madison I will be stopping by, it would definitely be worth it to stop in and see what all they have.
